  1. Why is the majority of criticism being pointed at Mcleish.

The board have sold Downing and Young and have only replaced him with NZogbia.

Fair Enough Given was a good singing.

They have told him he needs to reduce the squad and wages.

What do you expect. I don't like Mclciesh anymore than the next person but he is doing the best with a self depleted, utterly dire squad with no money.

Is Mccleish really responsible for the big picture...?

The board aren't telling McLeish to play Heskey ahead of Bannan, nor did they make him buy the liability Hutton.

Just 2 reasons to hold Mcleish responsible

You have not read my posts.

I never said that Mccleish should not be criticised for playing Heskey and Hutton.

I am trying to say is that the Board knew what kind of manager AM is, they knew that his tactics are negative and dull just ask any Blues Fan, yet they still decided to hire him ahead of Rafa who was interviewed.

Bannan has just been done for drink driving he probably gone though a lot so rushing him back could be a gamble.

I agree Heskey should not be starting, but when you dont have a variety of physical experience players to choose from, sometimes you dont have a choice

The point I am making is that its not just AM who should be critisised.

  3. I think we should be playing with more ambition and aspirations and not just going Swanswa looking for a point.

Mccleish has killed of our width in Albrighton and Nzogbia. And our youngsters confidence is not exacly sky high considering we are supposed to be a club looking to the youth.

    Clarke - Hardly started.

Albrighton - Who is he...? Once a better crosser that Yong.

Delfonso - Has he scored under AM

    Bannan - Drink Driving.

Delph - started well, disapeared recently.

Gardner - Lets lone him out.

Instead - lets play Heskey and Hutton with no width.

  4. And if DARLING would not have stepped in it would have been a lot worse = FACT!

    No, not fact, opinion.

under the measures unveiled by Mr Darling, Northern Rock savers would not lose a penny, regardless of how much they had deposited"

    oh benton

  5. £ 50 000

If Norther Rock would of gone bust, this would of had massive impacts on the rest of the economy, in terms of assets, individuals savings and market confidence.

6 000 people would of been made unemployed.

And if DARLING would not have stepped in it would have been a lot worse = FACT!

  6. They've nationalised the debts and privatised the profits!

Sorry, who nationalised the banking sector debts? Was it Mr Cameron or Mr Brown?

Its the Privatization of the profits which is the point. Northern Rock would of probably gone under.

  7. One things for sure Branson has got a bargain

Hmmm I wander why.....?! which party did Branson donate lots of money too? It was Georgie Porgie and his chum David.

Now Dave and Gideon are paying him back with our money.

They've nationalised the debts and privatised the profits!

  8. I think its a good move - they would have thought about this long and hard. Its short term, to a local team where he can achieve game time.

I think his biggest nemis will be injuries.

When is Villa u19 next game...!?

  9. I think they are blooding him through the next generation series..!

But then we all know that McCleish would rather play a 30 something player with experience. He has already killed of Albrighton, Clarke, Bannan so what chance has Gardner got.

I am pretty sure that he is just as good if not better that Herd and Petrov.

  10. they are a top, top football side with a great manager that we should admire and try to emulate in the coming years

    Have you been VT fraped?

I know SGC is the fisher of the century, but...really, why not? They've got:

    a) Money, and parachutes from the Champions League at that.

    B) Fans - selling out their smaller ground week in, week out with a season ticket waiting list

    c) A very good (yes, a bit bent!) manager

    d) Determination under said manager

    e) "Star" (or at least, very good) players that the club can keep till the end of their contracts

I am asking for a massive shoeing on this forum, but seriously - we have none of the above.

    We have:

    a) Balancing of books and offloading of dead wood

    B) A diminishing fan base

    c) A competent manager that can't quite fire up his players enough

    d) A lot of England players that now play for other clubs because we couldn't hold onto them for one reason or another

    e) Fans that **** moan.

I will add that I am no Spurs fan or anything - I couldn't give a shit about them - but they have reasons to be cheerful these days and I can see why.

    Spurs are a London Club.

This is a massive factor when trying to attract top class players.

They have a chairmen with a lot of money.

A good manager who know the PL inside out.

They have flucked a few good signings RVV on 40 k per week unbeleivable, plus Adebyor.

Does any one know his wages...?

I dont think there success will be long lived though. Redknapp will probably get the England job depending on court apparences. Chelsea will try and sign Modric. They will have to pay RVV a lot more in wages if they want to keep him

  11. We were never lighly to get much from this game today.

We have lost lets move on. Its going to be the games against the QPRs, Swanseas, and baggies that are really going to count.

The sooner folk accept the PL is about how much you spend on wages and transfers, the sooner we will be able to offer victory and accept defeat graciously.
