Now we are back to the basic's and looking a decent outfit, good to see Nakamba, Ramsey doing well which gave us that engine in midfield and gave the back four protection. Playing out from the back has been put back in the cupboard and the clean sheets have started to happen, Dean is looking a composed manager these days and making some tough decisions and found a way to play without Jack .

The days of Andy Lochead putting everything in the back of the net, ball, goalkeepers, players, referees and low flying pigeons were a sight to be seen.

SJM looks like a player who has lost his way, he has taken the super to mean overweight, out of condition and unfit, we all want the previous SJM who covered every blade of grass and run the midfield. The premiership is a major step up from the championship and therefore you have to step up and live the life of an athlete, get on the stamina training, get in the gym and lose those pounds or we all get a one season wonder. Barkley has all the potential but to me it's the mentality that is a problem and the me me me takes over, in his cameo against pool he played a partnership with jack but i think their was no red roses at the door today for either. Hope Matty Cash is ok and he will be a big loss to us and a should be an icon to others on how to be a professional.

The amount of sand on the pitch must have made it like running through treacle and the stamina levels of long distance runners. Dessy bremner could have won the epsom derby the amount of groung he covered and no stats to prove it.

There are already rule's and guidelines for kids heading a ball, under 12s not to head a ball, 13s + only one training session a weak can include heading. it recommends you do not over inflate the ball.

It's always good to see a lad improve himself, Marv had is doubters but he has taken it head on and showed he can do a job. He and Dougie are totally different players and both can do a role for us so i can see horses for courses happening here and both playing their part in our season. Well done Marv for showing progress and work effort on the big stage. 

Every now and then through a season you get taught a lesson, spam last night gave us a masterclass in how to set up a team. Most of their players are good all round pro's nothing spectacular, nothing amazing, just good athletes who know their role on a pitch and do exactly that. Old man dawson and Soucek bossed the game and show leadership at it's best in control and in charge. We did look battle weary but that is another test of character we have to achieve, the pro's break through those wall's and use that to dig deep and the souceks have it. Dean knows were the problem is but do we have that type of player in our squad, as they have always said you have to earn the right to play not just turn up. We have had a great season it's just the next step.

Lessons learnt we did the basics, players were queueing up to get the block in and we defended that goal like our lives depended on it. If we can get matty to look like the peperami man it might make life easier.

This is probably a good starting point to see how far we have come, just hope we have learnt from the last meeting.

Dean summed it up pretty well,  the defence took a knife to a gun fight.

It's a sign you are a decent player when like Mcgrath we just expect you to do it. Has had a very good season so far and the whole defence is starting to shape up.

Allround solid performance good reaction after the citeh nonsense, the backline did their job well , midfield handled it fine and so happy for ollie to get a goal, Second goal was a nice bit of play and well slotted, beginning to look like a top ten side.

On the options thing watkins is offside if the defender leaves it , same as the indirect free kick shoot at goal but you need an opposition player to touch the ball to score. MOTD played the establishment card in their summing up but we have never been a media  darling and the top six are untouchable.
