  1. a 3 yr deal so you've got another season of disappointment when it comes to the kits!!!

I'd be more worried about the seasons of disappointment on the pitch tbh

Well yes, of course! But thats also a convo for a different thread!

  2. I get what you're trying to say Ollie although your letter is quite hard to read. I want to get my 9 yr old nephew the shirt but as it doesnt have the sponsor on the front he won't be all that happy with it as it's not wha the players are wearing!! The last top I got him was the FXpro one, maybe they should consider putting the acorns logo on all the kids tops? Also Genting were the shirt sponsosr last season and I think it\s a 3 yr deal so you've got another season of disappointment when it comes to the kits!!!

Anyway mate, hope they get back to you with a decent response...

  3. I find it quite hilarious that suddenly all you Villa fans have become experts on OUR contracts.

I'd say arrogant as well, but I'm far too nice to say that. :P

Still very bitter I see, you'd have thought that after sleeping on it a grown man would have got his head round it, seems not in some cases....

That is if you're a grown man and not a spotty little kid?

  4. As Norton said, if it wasn't for Robbie Keane we'd have gone down, his two goals against Wolves was imo what saved our season. I'd sign him in a blink of an eye, he's a top player who still has lots to offer. Holt I'm not fussed about, if his wages are cheap then I dont see a problem with a 2 year deal providing Norwich are willing to accept 1 - 2 million for him.... Surely has to be a better option off the bench than what Heskey used to offer?

  5. Dont have a go at the NCFC fans, I feel their hurt, on a positive note only 2 places left for relegation next year now lol.

Very good appointment and with backing will be a great year, wouldn't it be great to finish above the bin dippers as well, can see it happening,

    The Lions to roar again.

Thank you goes to Randy and Paul, also a thanks to Alex Mccleash for putting us in a position a year early where we can now get players and look forward to the next season with enthusiasm but with a bit of reality thrown in, people may not see it but Alex did as he was asked - (Just)

Really don't understand your thinking on your second paragraph at all. Very bizarre.

Reckon his job was to use all the squad and get rid of the over paid players we had or utilise them where possible, get the kids some experience of playing and above all keep us in the prem, think he was to do this for 2 years so three more players could be gone so lowering the wages, he showed it was a dangerous idea and only just made it forcing Randy to act quicker than he wanted too,

May be I am totally wrong and talking out my ass, it is just something someone associated with the club told me ages ago and also made alot of sense, apparently he was never here for the long term but the hatred towards him and Randy as well as the relegation fight forced the Hand

Kmac would have been able to reduce the wage bill, get rid of the deadwood and at the same time blood the youngsters, that in my opinion would have been a temporary measure.

I firmly believe that Randy viewed Mcleish as a long term project but got it horribly wrong....

  7. So now you have him, a ruddy good manager no doubts on that, nasty and selfish, but he knows the game.

I don't wish him or AV well, infact I hope he implodes with you.

But please cut me some slack, I'm very bitter today, one thing for sure though our game with you at our place should be lively.

    Cheers.

I understand why you'd be bitter, we ourselves have been in the situation countless times where our best players have moved onto bigger clubs and just because you finished above us last season by no mean means you're bigger than us. Not that there aren't plenty of Villa fans with ideas above their stations either.

However, not that I expect you to be happy, but Lambert took you from a nothing club and got you back-to-back promotions and back into the Premier League in three seasons. You owe him more than you could know, and yet you don't wish him well? How ungrateful people can be.

When Milner left for Man City I was annoyed, but not at the man himself. He's a true professional and I appreciated what he did for us.

    Show a little class.

Oh and welcome Mr Lambert. Very pleased with this appointment and can't wait for him to start.

Lambert was nothing when we took a risk with him....it works both ways.

You keep telling yourself that pal!! I think you'll find Lambert put life back into Norwich, not the other way round... Hence your bitterness....

  8. I think that statement or the lack of it speaks volumes. Our offical statements normally carry info on how the other club has acted througout and also normally mentions his previous record at the previous club, to not say anything about the club to me is saying that they've acted poorly throught the proceedings. What a small time outfit Norwich have proved themselves to be.

Welcome to the Villa Paul Lambert.

  9. I think Hargreaves going to City lost him a lot of respect from people, myself included. reading his tearful "I'll play for free, I just want to play" plea in the Daily Heil, then all of a sudden, off to a club where he WON'T play, and WILL be paid...
Hargreaves is a perfect example of everything that is wrong with the modern day footballer. Greedy, Lazy and full of shit.

Are you crazy? Hargreaves was released by Manchester United, he was told in May that he would not be getting a new contract. He then offered to play the 2011/12 season for free and was still turned down by Manchester United who didnt want to give him a spot in their 25 man squad.

He then gets offered a contract by a club who are in the Champions League and most likely to be in the title race and he is expected to turn it down due to some kind of loyalty to his former employers who earlier in the summer had made it perfectly clear they think he is finished, just because his former employers dont like his new employers very much?

The point is though, he said he wanted to play football, he won't get a game at City as he's no better than what they already have. He would have got a game at Albion but decided not to go there, most probably because they weren't paying as much. I don't ever remember him saying he would play for free at United, I must have missed that quote, if there was one?

So IMO my point stands until proved otherwise and in answer to your question. Yes, I am most probably very crazy indeed :D
