    Think you need to check our history, yes our last domestic trophy was in 55 but now we can compete with the so called big 6 on a more level playing field. We’ll disrupt the established order and that ‘annoys’ teams like ManU etc

    No, you’re blind to what’s going on at Newcastle, it’s either luck, the opposition was shite or they’ve bribed the refs. Howe has built a cracking side, he’s an excellent coach. Villa are doing superb under UE and I for one look forward to a difficult game on the 15th.

    I dont think they’ll be that bothered, they’ve only been there 18 month. Not had time to be involved in owt dodgy.

    I guess it’s what someone is willing to pay and related party sponsorship is allowed.

    Difference being ours is all approved by the PL FMV panel.

    Any independent regulator will be government appointed, therefore not really independent. Re sponsorship, I understand that £10 million a season is standard for sleeve sponsorship of CL teams so £7.5 million a year isn’t too shabby for Newcastle. Everything is up for sponsorship at Newcastle, Shirt, Ground, training ground, training kit etc etc so the potential is huge.

    I doubt it, they won’t fall foul of financial regs like City, our major sponsorship deals are yet to come and those deals will have been approved by the PL FMV body they’ve set up.

    I’m a visiting supporter, NUFC. Followed Newcastle now for 40 years and seen some memorable games with the Villa. Thought I’d join the debate especially on my club. RP
