Good post mate and so very true...many hypocrites around really.
Yeah, lets all be objective about every incident. When Villa scores lets not go mental and talk about how great it was afterwards, lets compare it to other team's goals aginst the same opposition and in the event of it not being as good lets not talk it up.
Fun times.
IMO Laursen is the most important in influencing how many we concede, Young is the most important in influencing how many we score and Barry is only the most important in influencing how long we keep possession for. It saves our side a lot of energy having Barry to keep the ball but he's not the cutting edge at either end. Moutinho would do a similar job at a faster pace and then a bit as far as I can see.
LMAO I'm sitting with about 4 or 5 of them. Still complaining and only one of them's from Landan. They weren't to fond of the trombone but everyone else was.
IMO English teams are more organised, quicker, stronger, more tactically astute, fitter; ie Better.
Barcelona don't have enough properly competitive games to know how to beat the top PL sides despite being good enough.
I wish I could disagree but that got ridiculous. The last one Eto'o jumped with his arm out in front of a shot. I will actually be supporting ManUre in the final just so Platini doesn't get his rocks off.
Ronaldo suffered from the same thing for a long while IMO. Messi's only 21 so give him time and he'll do the business but atm Gerrard is THE MAN (much to my disgruntlement) at the moment.
If Barca got to compete against teams as rugged as those in the PL rather than the limp La Liga defences then they'd be a much greater threat to Guus' workhorse tactics. They're the victims of a lower quality of domestic league... Hah.
It helps them a lot the fact that Barca are missing both Puyol and Marquez.
It would make no difference. Both penalties have come from bad challenges by full backs. Marquez is terrible anyway.
I don't think someone who has committed suicide should be called a gobshite, whatever the reason they did it.
No you're right, they should be called a coward.....
Meet in the middle, a cowshite?
My argument is that despite making fewer tackles than a lot of CMs he commits more fouls - not because he is dirty or bad at tackling but because he gets caught out by people running round/past him because he's too slow (He's commited more than both Nolan and Mikel). He also is too slow to go past someone who's not standing still and has to rely on repeatedly turning back on himself to make enough space for a pass which takes time and is costly to our counter attacks.
There is no minimum required top speed or acceleration so he will never be officially too slow but his lack of pace severely restricts the opportunities he gets to start attacks (either by winning possession or bursting past someone) IMO... naturally.
