He sounds like a normal 20 year old.
I'm glad he doesn't come across as a 'made it big time' little shit.
He sounds like a good lad.I didn't think he sounded nervous at all personally... his "great goal by me", was hilarious.
I love the way he likes to progress the ball with his feet. Always taking space when it's available, always looking to move forward and getting way more comfortable in the final third. Admitting he's watching SG's highlights and wanting to be like him is super cool. One of our own!

Young has been a fantastic signing but was not signed to be playing 3 PL games in a week. He cannot start against Burnley surely??
I love Ashley... think it's been an outstanding signing, especially with SG sort of deputizing him, just don't necessarily like him starting week in and week out and didn't like his game today.
I'd like to think he won't start this Saturday, but if he doesn't I'm not sure Carney is the first option in even though I'd like him to be. It'll be interesting to see what happens... Covid/knocks etc making things interesting to be sure.

I'd be tempted to play him v Burnley. Stick him in ahead of Young.
Young is 36, looks banged up, and was pretty horrid (in my opinion) for 58 minutes today. I'd absolutely start Carney Saturday, but I don't think SG will.
Fantastic cameo by CC. What a ball.

Very satisfying and relatively stress free 2-0 W. Ramsey is a beauty... love how he loves to progress the ball with his feet. That run and finish was fantastic. Also love Carney coming on and getting involved... fantastic ball for a tap in. I want more Carney. We saw a glimpse of our future and hopefully our present.
Disappointed with Young and Buendia today. Ashley has his place in this squad for sure, but I think he's becoming Gerrard's binky a bit... Carney in 7 minutes did more than Ashley in 58 or whatever it was.
12 out of 18 under Stevie G. NEXT!

A real shame, but ideal opportunity for the likes of Sanson now.
Sucks for Marv, he's been outstanding lately, but I will say I'm excited to see more of Sanson.
Get well soon Marvelous.

Lets stop the arguing between those that take the pandemic serious and those who don't and our opinions of what's going on with it and just simply speak about how this may impact our football club in the near term.
Hopefully the first teamer that tested positive is not one of our more impactful/important players, hopefully it's isolated to that individual and we can continue along. I'll be anxiously awaiting news tomorrow.

He’s fine for now Cashy but there are elements of his game that really need to improve. If he doesn’t improve them, he will get replaced in the next year or so. The same could be said for Targett too.
I think Targett is getting replaced, or at least will get some competition in January... be shocked if they don't bring in a LB/LWB. Cash I'm a huge fan of, looks dangerous... but no assists and one goal isn't cutting it. His crosses have been poor lately (okay pretty much all season) and decision making iffy as well. Needs to be better in the final third or else I fully expect them to bring someone in before next year, or perhaps Kesler gets a look. Need more production from our FBs.

Michael Oliver blows goats.
UTV!
I know nothing about the man other than watching him ref on TV... and he just comes off as an arrogant smug ****. Wouldn't be surprised if he enjoyed himself a goat peen here and there

Massive W baby! 2nd half was SO much better. Could have been 4 or 5-1 if we finished some of our chances. Really really like Carney as a part of that top 3... his size and skill can create problems. I know we are a ways off of him being there to start, but looking forward to seeing more of him. Top half of the table. Let's keep it moving.

Tim Howard says absolutely should have been a goal... if a GK is saying that, you know they messed it up

I cannot believe they called that goal off....

Are you shitting me????? Wow

GET IN RAMSEY
Haha... I'm behind a bit and saw this about 30 seconds before... got me quite excited.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO - the fact we are up 2-1 playing this poorly is wonderful

I think Stevie G is going to lose his mind at HT.... been by far the worst half under him... look uncomfortable with possession, can't keep it and look terrible defensively. Very lucky to be tied.

Looked quality after he came on. Makes us that much deeper and gives Stevie G more options on what to do with his starting XI. Hope he continues to push and perform.
-
Would have been a perfect "star is born" moment... and probably gotten us a extremely pleasing/rewarding result. I came out of my seat ready to erupt.
Ballsy sub by Stevie G. I like it.

Frustrating stuff... thought we were hanging in well but we botched every counter attack we had. 1st goal sucks... outside the box from a guy who rarely scores... Bailey could have gone harder at it, Targett completely whiffs on the header... 2nd goal is us being too aggressive and getting burned. I'll be optimistic that we can get back in this but I think an early goal is critical.... get VP rocking and give the boys some energy.

Starting to think I may have to change my handle at some point. Shit luck with him pulling up, but wasn't overly pleased with his performance prior to. Over handled the ball twice. Can't believe he didn't give that ball to Buendia. Wished he went harder initially at the pass to Dias. Hopefully his injury is minor and he starts to be a real factor for us.

There's that vision in the final third that we need! Great sequence.

Carney and JPB are too good for U23s football.
Not able to watch but following along on twitter... I absolutely love JPB. Would love these two plus Archer to get involved a bit more with first team. Maybe as the schedule picks up a bit that will happen.

You serious? A moment of pure class from Ollie and you think he should have squared it!
Before he shot it and it went in, I absolutely wanted him to because I think the pass to Bailey was the better play. It was an amazing goal and I went nuts when it went in.... not taking anything away from the goal whatsoever. I'm more concerned about the similar opportunities where the chance taken doesn't go in and there's a better play to be made which is what I was trying to express.

I would like to see Carney start to get involved at least as a regular sub. The reports that he's not any closer to signing a new contract has me concerned and signals to me that he wants some playing time. He could be huge under SG's tutelage and I really want to see him stay here long term.

@VillaAnalytics (twitter) mentioned on the Claret&Blue Pod Boubacar Kamara as someone he thinks we should go after. CDM/CB, could replace Mings at CB in a few years potentially... I am 1000% on board and that's the type of move you make if you've got European aspirations in my opinion. Not sure it's feasible in any stretch of the imagination, but I would cream in my shorts.
