Big 3 points.  First half was good.  Second half we got long balled to death and it was like watching Uncut Gems for me.  Really proud they stood tall and kept the clean sheet/got the win.  Buendia really starting to cook.  Digne's corners are beauties.  Good to have SJM back in the XI.

at the same time cash needs the competition as an encouragement too, i think he's dropped off this year and is pretty average 

No assists in the last year and one goal.  He does a lot of good things but the end product has been generally poor.  Might as well see what KKH can offer at this level right now in his development.  We have some easier games coming up that would be a good chance for him to get an opportunity.  Best case scenario he's outstanding and forces his way into the starting XI consistently.

That actually makes sense to me because he doesn't have the most experience as a 10 and that's obviously the system Gerard likes to play (2 10's).  If true its smart that we would require he play that role and get guaranteed playing time.  Excited to see how it goes.

Excited for him to go on loan. Really hoping he starts consistently.  One of my favorite academy players.  Best of luck JPB!

I'd like to see him come on as a sub this weekend (obviously all dependent on how the game is going).  Unbelievably impressed by his performance against City.

I think you gotta have JJ in the squad...  and I think we need Bailey's speed and game breaking ability...  it's going to be extremely interesting to see what SG does when we are fully fit especially if we continue to add before the end of the window.  Going to be lots of options and lots of players that deserve to be on the pitch.  

Back to the window, definitely hoping we add a top CDM, which will allow us to play Bailey/Cout/Buendia and one of Ings/Waktins as a front 4, which would/could/should be absolutely lethal... and definitely think we need a CB especially if Konsa misses any time.

Seems like he could become a rover...  CAM perhaps may suit him best.  I think he has the ability to be clinical in the final third with clever balls etc, but also dropping deeper.  His size is intriguing... even though he's 18 he looks enormous out there (to me at least).  With some smaller players in our squad, having a bruiser like Carney is not a bad thing whatsoever.  Definitely has that versatility.  Super sub for me going forward the rest of the year.

When we're healthy I'd totally consider doing a false 9 every now and then, or at least give it a try.  Watkins/Ings do not work as a partnership and I thought both were quite poor today.  Probably Watkins worst game this year IMO, which may be unfair, but I did not like eithers game.

IMO he needs to be in the mix every game.  I don't expect him to start most games, but he should be one of the first one off the bench when healthy.  I'm honestly wondering if Gerard will consider occasionally going with a false 9 when we are healthy.  Ings and Watkins were pretty brutal today and clearly do not work well together.... but again, back to Carney, IMO he should be involved in most, if not all games in some way shape or form... and we need to get him to sign.

I mean we have definitely dipped a bit since we lost Marvelous no doubt about it and I'd be all for bringing in some steel as you put it.  I think LB, CDM, CB before end of this window would be great, just not sure that will all happen until the Summer.

I think SG is the domino effect, but certainly Coutinho coming on board as well has to intrigue any footballer.  We should be an extremely desirable destination moving forward, and that's unbelievably exciting.

Assuming everyone is fit, I'd love Bailey on the Left, Emi on the right, Couts down the middle and Watkins up top.  That could/should be lethal.  Unfortunately this means Ramsey is most likely going to see his minutes significantly reduced (assuming Douglas and McGinn will be the other two in starting XI) but man, the squad we have now is significant.  All I need is some Hickey in my life now.  At this very second, when fit i'd roll out the below.

I've liked 85% of what I've seen of him with Villa.... but we just haven't seen much of him.  I'm confident he'll be a contributor for us, just need him fit.

Excellent!  Thanks to you and the others who responded.

Hope he's able to come back relatively soon and stay fit the rest of the year.  I am not sure he's going to be the savior or have the impact I was hoping, but still think he can be a very useful player for us.  His speed alone changes things.  Curious what SG thinks of him.

Not trying to derail the thread so my apologies, but Is there a twitter account (or anything of the like) where you can follow all completed transfers?  Similarly, is there an account or source you prefer for rumors?  Thanks in advance.

Hoping we land a few players to get excited about in the next few weeks.
