  1. For a while I felt like I jinxed Leon when selecting my handle/user name after he signed...  very happy that he's been approaching legendary status so far this year.  Here's hoping he's got one or two legendary moments up his sleeve in the second half of the season.  Such an exciting player when he's firing on all cylinders.

He did, when he first arrived....................?

I'm sure he did....  but I don't remember it happening all that often... and it certainly hasn't happened lately.  Regardless, hopefully you understand the point of my comment.

And surely, it's just a co-incidence that they are looking into changing the offside rule now little old Villa are making a mockery out of it at the expense of the "Big 6"

I hadn't heard that....  what are they proposing to change about the current way offside is handled?  The only REALLY tight offsides yesterday was Watkins goal...

Maybe I'm being over harsh but don't you think he's a little frustrating when he's level or ahead of the last man and he keeps cutting back.

1000%.  With his pace you'd love to see him take on defenders...  he almost never tries to beat someone 1 on 1, which I find shocking.

He wouid have better if he had stayed on imo. With all the space Bailey had second half he was so wasteful and predictable

Couldn't disagree more.  Thought Bailey was a great sub and had a positive influence in the second half.  Diaby doesn't know what to do with space.  He's all about running in behind and hopefully getting a through ball or a ball over the top.  If he's got the ball and there's anyone in front of him, all he does is turn back.  It's infuriating...  at least Bailey moves forward in that situation.  Diaby ruined two or three really good chances in the 1st 45...  Clearly Unai saw that and decided to yank him, which I think will do Diaby a load of good.  A little kick in the seat of the pants.  Needs to be more of a game breaker.

When you are at the game watch his runs off the ball that creates space for others.

Watch the runs he makes for the pass that never comes from Pau or Ezri trying to beat the offside trap.  It will happen eventually.

He is at it all game class player.

Never been to VP unfortunately...  but it's on the list, however I'll never get to enjoy going week in and week out, which I'd love to do, considering I live in the states...  so i have to do my best via the TV.  Again, wasn't trying to be harsh....  I think he certainly draws attention and opens things up, just want him to get on the score sheet a bit more and challenge players 1on1.

  7. RB for competition/cover in case of injury for Cash (Konsa can play there, but I'd rather he be at CB all the time) and backup keeper is probably all I'd look to do at this point.  I am a massive fan of Duran, can't wait to see him back in the mix again and don't see the need for another striker.

Looking back to 2019, he seems like a much bigger physique now.

What a player we have. Legend.

The meatball has thickened for sure.

Love the man.  So likable...  and when he gets going and means business, he is very tough to stop.  Competitiveness off the charts.

Just saw this stat, sorry can't link.

" ⚽️ Most goals and assists per 90 in the Premier League this season (5+ required):

    🥇 Leon Bailey - 1.58
    🥈 Erling Haaland - 1.41
    🥉 Callum Wilson - 1.31
    🏅 Mohamed Salah / Darwin Nunez - 1.20
    🏅 Alexander Isak - 1.09 "

It's a fantastic stat.... and while you might say "it's working why fix it", I do think he should get a start here and there in the PL...  and I think he will in December.  Also think him coming on straight out to start the 2nd half versus waiting for the 60th minute isn't a bad option depending on what the situation is.  He's be terrific this year.

  10. Love him, but we need more from him in my opinion.  I honestly think Bailey has offered more so far this year.  Diaby doesn't do much 1 on 1....  if he's not burning past someone, and he gets the ball with a defender in front of him, he just turns around and passes it back.  With his pace, he needs to take defenders on like a Bailey/Doku does.  That would make him loads more difficult to deal with.  Also needs to bury his chances and improve his final product.  I'm not trying to be harsh, I just think he needs to consistently be the most dangerous player on the pitch, and constantly a threat, considering he's our record signing.

He's now withdrawn from England elite squad because of injury, as has Aaron Ramsey. Hopefully more of a precaution than anything else

That's a shame...  I was really hoping he would get involved in the squad this year.  I think he's got top potential.  I'd much rather see him playing than Dendoncker personally.

here ive just remembered that goal he scored in pre-season when he ran the length of the pitch. Why's he not done that this season?!

wonder how the defenders fouled stats are looking this year. last year he was right up there if I remember correctly and he still seems to be doing that lovely thing where he gets himself between man and ball and draws the foul to alleviate all the pressure on the defence. it is artistic watching him do it

He's done it a few times.  Certainly has it in his bag with his pace.  He bombed forward against AZ Alkmaar on Thursday at least once and created a chance, and took a few shots of his own by getting in the mix.  Having both him and Pau that can both progress forward is really nice to have.  Hope to see more of it.

  13. So thrilled for Ezri.  Beyond deserved.  Seeing Maguire continue to be involved in the England squad while he's left out was a complete joke, so glad Southgate finally put down the crack pipe.  Up the Ezri.

    He has a toe infection.

hopefully he won’t be calling Darius Vassell for treatment tips!

Hadn't heard that....  glad injury is this reason, and not anything else that's been rumored.  Hope he's back at it soon.  I need another Palace banger goal.

Honestly, he's just been okay so far. Not great not bad just straight down the middle okay.

I have no idea why but some reason though he's become one of my faves and I just want him to score. Thought today would be the day but we go again.

He makes a lot of poor choices...  but also does plenty of positives...  it's a mixed bag for sure.  My main gripe I would say is that he's had some quality looks, like todays, and he hasn't converted any of them.

Not made the bench today (must’ve fallen out with Emery again 😬)

I'm wondering if he really wasn't fit on Thursday but just needed to be used for squad selection for some reason?  Odd to exclude him if healthy as he's been really good in limited chances and seems to have serious potential.  Hopefully everything is all good with everything as I have high hopes.

now think we can rest Watkins and bring on Duran

Not in the squad again...  really want to know what the deal is with that.  Id give TI a spin for Luiz or Kamara though.  Definitely getting close to the time to rest some of the big boys.

Would definitely get Bailey on for Zaniolo but I think Diaby has been fine.

Diaby had a few good moments, but also has given the ball away and been a bit sloppy IMO.  Still waiting to see him really cook.

  19. 13 games 6 goals 3 assists in all competitions.... in 681 minutes (7.5 full games)... Guy is absolutely balling out like I/we hoped he would from the day he signed.  Long may it **** continue!
