I don't see the point in Walton being on BT Sports either. He probably gets texts telling him what to say.
-
In that instance, I would blame Shelvey as he took the free kick too quickly.

Just now, Lerner's Driver said:
Well played Sheffield Utd.
Utterly shit Villa.
Usual rubbish of being too slow, lacking ideas and refusing to beat a weakened opponent.
Not good enough.
They didn't have to play well to win.
Elmo should have cleared the ball across.

It's pretty bad that if we concede first, we get nothing. That was very bad.

Me too and I can't wait to see how the commentators say his name.

So by his logic, Le Tissier is rubbish. Shearer is rubbish.
It's all part of the Sky/BT BS that players are only good if they play for certain teams.

Smith said he is yesterday in the press conference.

Him and Chuck will be terrorising the PL soon enough.

I've said it before but I'm 99% sure Crooks (or whoever does Crooks' column for him) are aware that people just laugh at his team of the week. I'm convinced the stupid mistakes he makes in it are deliberate just to keep it relevant
I'm sure his most recent team of week were defenders who scored goals.

ooof unlucky. I still think they'll stay up though because Fulham and West Brom are no better than them.
I actually think Fulham will stay up. They look so much better than the team we faced at the start of the season and they aren't conceding many goals, unlike West Brom.

but I remember Jack, Carlos and Gabby terrorising Leicester for the first hour.
I loved little Carles Gil. Had a lovely shot on him.

Just came here to post this. Has only predicted us to win 6 games all season, we'd be 15th had his predictions been right, Leeds would be 5th
He has West Brom as only having 3 points
I can imagine doing something like this:
'Villa have had an excellent where they have won 3 and drawn 3 in their last 6. They are playing Berwick who are bottom of Scottish league 2, conceded the most goals and low on confidence, but I think they will pull an upset and beat Villa because I can't bring myself to predict them to win as I'm miserable about Liverpool who will win every game.'

I'll admit I don't know many DM's out there, mainly Kante really. Who would you go for?

Wide players blow hot and cold. It's how it is unfortunately. Traore has been iffy as well as brilliant. Trezeguet was very average last season, until project restart and he was nearly unplayable. He's regressed a bit, but hopefully he can get back to the end of last season. Grealish has been poor some games this also.
El Ghazi has scored 6 goals this season, including some crucial ones. When he's on, he feels like he's Ronaldo, when he isn't, he's Ali Dia.

I'm sure the main person was on a podcast I listened to.
Yes, it was the Villa Talks Podcast from here.

Jamie Caragher being very complimentary about Martinez, Konsa and Mings, especially Konsa on MNF.

I'm always very optimistic until gameday and I become very stressed.

genuine question. from the below, who has a job currently if fans had been allowed inside the ground all season? IMO definitely roy and bruce would have been sacked, the others are debatable
roy - shocking season, players arguably not playing for him anymore
wilder - going down with a whimper
bruce - genuine danger of relegation, awful football
jose - massively underachieving
arteta - should definitely be higher in the table with that squad
parker - had such a bad start to the season, paddy power paid out on relegation bets after just a few games
I think Wilder and Parker would still be in a job. As would Mourinho and Arteta. I get the feeling Mourinho will win the Europa Cup.
Bruce would have had a few cabbages thrown at him if there were fans, but would have just stayed put.

We should buy Saint Maximin when they go down. Offer Bruce some bacon butties.

10 league goals this season for Jordan Veretout for Roma
Good player, just came at the wrong time unfortunately.

I hope he is re-introduced slowly and not rushed back. Give him a 30 minute run-out from the bench first when he's back.

Newcastle, when the player tried to intercept and Watkins headed it in.
I'd like to see Roy Keane and Jonathan Walters in the studio doing analysis.

That was more like it from him. Last game he looked Sunday league when he came on, but today, he was good. Nice driving runs.

Considering how Villa almost got relegated last year, this season was always going to be one of consolidation.
I get worked up after a defeat, but forget about it fairly sharpish.
We are 9th in the league with 39 points. Before the season started, I would have been happy if we weren't in relegation battle and we aren't.
The start with 5 wins in the row seems to have altered expectations. We have to remember that this is Smith's second season in the Premier League and he is learning all the time.
