Again I don't think Jack is anywhere near fully fit so I can see why he got used as a supersub but last night Southgate seemed to want to play for penalties from half time, even though we were winning.  He obviously delayed the subs as long as possible so he had the penalty taker subs come on at the end.  It doesn't really excuse the inability of the team to get the ball to Jack at all when he was on though.  Mount's continued selection was baffling to me, he was invisible for the whole tournament, even if it wasn't Jack he picked instead it could have been Foden.

Ultimately though I'm not going to give Southgate stick, he got as close as possible to winning the Euros.  I'm more pissed off at the behaviour of too many English fans which must make us seem hideous to the rest of the world.

I agree with this. The friendlies before the Euros were a way of trying to get him there. How Jack is used for Qatar qualifying will be telling.

  2. I like Sterling. Think he's a good player. When he runs with the ball, he attracts players. Sadly his decision making is poor. He should pass when he attracts the players, instead he does the same trick and loses the ball.

Not holding my breath, but I'm hoping that Gareth realises that you can use other formations and tactics to play different teams and that Mount isn't the Lord and savior.

Possibly unpopular opinion, but I have a massive amount of respect for Gareth Bale treating Real Madrid in the same manner that they (and other clubs) treat many, many players.  He's been frozen out, pretty much pushed out the door and knows full well he could move to basically anywhere he likes and still earn a fortune.

But no, he's draining those bastards dry and running down his contract so they suffer maximum expense - and, at the same time, managed to make a big impact at Spurs and with the Welsh national team.  It isn't like he's some washed up player choosing "money over football", he seems to have taken a proper stance here.  Good luck to him.

Like that hero Winston Bogarde did at Chelsea.

Definitely Ashley young. You can tell because he's hanging around with kids the same age as him

I think he's trying to get on the bosses good side, like Darryl Strawberry was with Mr Burns.

  5. Joined the league for the first time. Last season, I had Martinez from the second week and never looked back with him. Shame he is so expensive this time, but it is understandable. Putting in Buendia instead of Grealish I think. Will give a couple of games to see how he does.

Goalies, Guaita and Sanchez look the value picks.
