Kjøttbacken

I've been really impressed by his positioning so far this season. Can't think of many instances when he's been caught. The Fulham game was the best example so far, when Mitrovic targeted him but was pretty well neutralised. I also think his concentration is top class. These traits alone make a good CB (see Mertesacker), but coupled with pace, power and decent ability with the ball, his future is looking very bright.

Konsa and Mings immense tonight!

He didn't get much to work with, but with what little he got i don't think he did very well.

Great start to the season. Not pretty, but we won a game we would've lost half a year ago. My biggest worry after today is McGinn, he looks nowhere near the player he was when we started last season. Poor passing accuracy and lazy tracking back today. Trez looked like himself on a poor day, but I'm in the group of people that see a player in there. Watkins looked rusty, but will hopefully get better with improved match fitness. Targett and Hourihane underwhelming, and decent match by Jack who could have gotten a couple goals. Mings was solid, and ruled his aerial duels, his assist included. Solid games by the rest and an impressive debut from Cash. Faultless game by Martinez with a terrific save. Good goal from Konsa. Hello! After following this forum for several years I figured its time to be able to participate. I’ve been a Villa fan since the days Gavin McCann graced Villa Park, a couple years before Lerner came in. Teletext had to suffice for the first few years, until I finally got to watch Villa on TV, in what I think was Gabbys 1-4 debut against Everton. I’ve lived a few years in the UK, but I’m currently back in my native Norway.
