Are there actually an credible links?
Mistaken identity, most likely the name Torres was heard and some dipshit guessed at Ferran when it was Pau we were after..
Though for the right money I would be more than happy for him to sign for us to make it a Spanish trio in our ranks alongside our trio of Brazilian’s

Never trust a man who changes his football team. You can change your car, your house or even your wife but never your football team.
Think you have pretty much described nearly everyone connected to football from the manager, players and everyone else. And what else was he supposed to say
Not that I don’t agree with you though, just got to hope that at the age of 5 you have chosen well

Danny Murphy just had to make the point about bursting onto the scene under Steven Gerrard didn’t he, Dean Smith gets no credit
Made me so mad but Danny Murphy is a word removed so this is just typical form for him..

I don’t feel Steven is being given a fair chance to prove himself compared to Deano.
Let’s see what he does in the Championship next year before we really start to judge how good he is, it’s the right thing to do

The doom and gloom on here is laughable.
We played fairly well in parts even with Coutinho (who had another howler) and Mcginn (average at best) on the pitch. Buendia showed again that he should be staring ahead of Couts. Ollie had a good game and Ings goal was well taken.
Naivety after scoring is something we need to learn from but we controlled a lot of the game which with confidence should only get better.
I for one am going to enjoy this result, jeez even when we win we are a fickle bunch

Absolute nonsense..

Gave him a chance but Gerrard is clearly clueless and needs to go.
It would not be so bad if we understood what he was trying to do with team choices and tactics but how can anyone put anything positive on this, it’s just incomprehensible as to what he was thinking.
The guy is clearly a plank of the highest order
-
Clearly Archer is a mix of all the good things Watkins and Ings can do with only a lack of top level experience as a real negative so would get my vote if he had been included.
But to some degree this is all depends on how we set up the whole team.
Ings looks like he is running in quick sand so would need plenty of support high up the pitch, and Watkins can’t shoot for shit so wastes every 1 on 1 he gets.
And if we play both then it just weakens our midfield so we get over run…
yer F@*# it, it’s got to be Archer

Improve the starting 11 first!
Totally agreed, and by doing this you naturally improve the bench as players move down the pecking order, it’s a win win

Ramsey did ok and I like the look of Feeney who was composed and had good positioning for a young lad.
Sanson was unfortunately poor, some nice touches but is a liability and lost the ball nearly every move he was involved in, might be a confidence thing.
Nakamba is a championship player
As for Olsen he made some great saves but needs to work on his kicking for sure, if he gets that sorted then he could comfortably cover for Martinez.
Feckin hate Leeds

Quite ironic that so many of the people moaning are not paying any money to support this site that they get to use for free.
Sounds like there are just a lot of people that want something for nothing as always, then will probably moan there isn’t enough investment in the club

Hes just come back from an horific injury give him a break
No. He should not have even been on the pitch which is on Gerrard for a poor sub. But that was nothing to do with being back from injury, that 2S just spineless bullshit. Anyone heard of VAR, such a poor and cowardly act
-
This prick can go and **** off out of our club with that type of bullshit. Disgraceful

Haters gonna hate but some people need to get some perspective on this.
Wishing him to fail, which means the team we all luv fails, is just plain crazy… At this point if he does not succeed then the chances are we could end up being relegated so what would that achieve?!
I for one will be fully behind this appointment and believe that this new management team will be a success relative to where Villa currently are, so anything around 10th place would be a fantastic achievement.
Welcome Steven and the team. UTV

So Howe to Newcastle, Lampard to Norwich and Gerrard to Villa. How many of these young up and coming English managers will be relegated in about 6 months time. My money is on 2 of them
They are all starting at the shitty end of the table so it’s gonna be a tough task for sure.
-
Weak goal by them, Mcginn can barely make a descent pass..
But Villa are the better team by a mile

I know. I’ve seen nothing from him to suggest he’s a 25m striker. Forget his reputation for a minute, he’s been poor since joining.
2 goals in 2 games, get some perspective bud he has only just joined us

We are a team that had a game plan to get the ball to one player, just need to find our rhythm of playing in a different style where everyone works together and spread the play and responsibility.
keep the faith , we will get better !!

He’s vocal, i give him that much. I’d just much prefer Ty to cut the silly mistakes and lapses in concentration out of his own game rather than barking at others, for effect. Leaders do. Some of the most quietest leaders just play the game, total focus. If your ranting and raving but your own game is scratchy, then it’s just gimmicky.
He does not bark at others but Marshall’s everyone with authority. Whether he is captain or not this is what he gives to the team and is what I expect from an experienced defensive leader.
