  1. He did have a short period of drought at the start of last season. But I wouldn't say due to lack of technique but more due to some bad luck, good goalkeeper what resulted in some lack of confidence (guess every striker has such periods once in a while). But looking to what he performed after that period, I'm not doubting he will score goals for you. And if not, you have a hard worker that will keep defenders busy for your other attackers to score. Actually, he could've had even more goals if it wasn't for a non-working VAR.
  2. Let's hope he will have the same impact at Aston Villa. If he does, please make sure to keep this tradition going, will you? Thanks in advance
  3. Hi, I'd say we will miss Sama more than we missed Benteke. First of all for his great personality and for the nostalgia of his important goals that made us champion last season. When Benteke left for quite some amount of money at that time, I remember several Genk fans saying they 'would bring him personally with a wheelbarrow'. Mainly because -despite you could see Benteke's potential- he still missed a lot of chances and never had the impact on our club like Samatta had. Sama is more moving, dynamic and creating 'chaos' in a defence while Benteke was more the powerful tall guy you could pass a ball and he'd hold it as long as needed. So personally Samagoal>Benteke on all aspects.
  4. Hi guys, I'm a KRC Genk supporter. Since it seems I cannot react to his own topic (yet), I will do it via this way. First of all, please don't compare him with Wesley. While Wesley is more the targetman, Sama is the goal scoring type that prefers to be dynamic and looks for space behind the defence. I hope he can mean the same for Aston Villa as he did for us. Besides making us champions of Belgium last year as topscorer he is just the guy you cannot hate. Always smiling, top mentality and a leader on and off the pitch. He did need some time to adapt when he came from Africa to Belgium over 3 years ago so I'm wondering how he will digest the step to Premier League now. But we also wondered that about Trossard and he's doing well at Brighton now... Too bad we lose our 2nd best player in what already is a difficult season for us but every Genk supporter is happy for him to get the opportunity to chase his dream now. Every time he scored for us, the whole stadium used to sing: nananananana Sama-Samagoal Samagoal, Sama-Samagoal nananana... on the tones of 'Give It Up from KC and the Sunshineband', could be an idea for you to continue So all the best with this hero and your remaining season to stay in the PL. And have fun with all the crazy Tanzanians on your social media too!
