Olsen probably doesn't but am sure his wife sees it or maybe his kids. Anwar saw the abuse he was getting

Very true, I hadnt thought of that.

Coutinho, Digne, maybe Cash. Into the squad players Bednarek, Nakamba probably Olsen who is probably sick of the online abuse

I dont think for 1 second Olsen is bothered about online comments, I would be surprised if he even reads the comments, and I would also be surprised if more than a handfull of the players ( specially those who know they are useless ) care, after all they are earning a small fortune. They certainly dont play like they care.

  3. Whats there to be concerned about, you are talking about two different teams. It doesnt make sense to comment on the form of the Gerrard team, they are gone  passed on! they are no more! they have ceased to be!  expired and gone to meet 'is maker! a stiff! Bereft of life, pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! its off the twig!  kicked the bucket, shuffled off its mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisible!! that is an ex-team !!

the team he won it with last won the league in 2002

And on that basis he gets the Villa job ???? You are only looking at 1 good season that he had, and he aint doing so hot this season, he already lost in the Cup to a 3rd tier club, you are overlooking the most important fact, he has very little experiance as a manager and no depth of knowledge in playing preassure matches week after week.

Rodgers hasn't got that edge. As soon as Leicester came up against Roma and Mourinho in the EL for example - you just knew they were going out.

No thanks to that one. Would be a huge anti climax. Give me Amorim over him any day.

Amorim !!!!  with all of his 3 years experience of managing in a league way below premier league standard, there is only ever 1 of 3 teams wins the league, what depth of knowledge in playing preassure matches week after week will he have, none.

I believe this is nothing to base an opinion on. You can have good managers in weaker leagues, if you do due diligence on their football brain, tactical knowledge, personality, character, man management skills, you can unearth a gem. We obviously didn't look too deeply into all this with Gerrard. We hired him on his name and his arguably good rep in the Scottish league, which btw is MUCH weaker than the Primeira Liga.

I dont understand your point exactly,  are you in favour of Ruben Amorim ?  Just about everyone has been screaming for weeks now that SG must go, and the overwhelming shout has been that we need a manager with experience, Ruben Amorim has managed in a league that is way below the standard of the premier league, and only for 3 years. You can't do due diligence on someone with such little experience, it would be a gamble, we are too big a club to have to rely on taking these kind of gambles to find a manager.

  7. Too early for me to have a favourite, I like to go through an elinination process to narrow it down before I come to a 1st choice, the first deffinate NO is Ruben Amorim, he is greatly lacking in experience, and what little experience he does have is managing a club in Portugal, having lived there for 15 years I can tell you that winning the league there in his second year is on a par with Gerrard winning the Scottish league with Rangers. The Scottish league is only ever a battle between 2 clubs, the Portuguese league is only ever a battle between 3 clubs, he has no experience with week to week preasure games, most of the teams he will have come up against as a manager would struggle in the English championship. We need a PROVEN manager, he has no more experience than Gerrard and the Premier league would be like throwing someone in at the deep end who cant swim.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m no fan of Gerrard. However, this defeat is not on him.

It’s a lack of composure that has prevented us from scoring and two individual areas that have cost us the goals.

Of course its on him, what they do on the training ground all week is put into practice on match day, its obvious what they are doing on the training ground is not making them better players.

We don't do well against teams that sit back and let us have it, as we don't have a clue what to do with the ball.  Newcastle and Watford last season, we dominated possession and lost both 1-0.  Forest would have been the same except for a "moment of magic" from Young.

We dont do well against teams, full stop.

  10. What worries me about loosing is it might be the moment they get rid od SG, at last, but Brucie is waiting to step into Stevies shoes and it raises the question, are our decision makers daft enough to take him.

I must be either absolutely mental or witnessed a different game to most yesterday evening. Judging by the reaction you'd have thought we got hammered, admittedly there are bigger questions such as have we progressed under Gerrard (I'd argue we've gone backwards if anything) but commenting solely on the 90 minutes we saw yesterday I really don't think we were bad at all!? We didn't set the world alight but it's a tough old place to go and we stood up to them, battled well and if we could hit a barn door we'd have won comfortably. Despite what the over-dramatic football twitter jellyfish and wannabee vloggers/bloggers blue ticks post, we aren't going to win every game 5-0 playing a hybrid of 2010 Barcelona/1970s Brazil unfortunately.

I listened to the match on the radio and the commentators were saying over and over again we were too slow, lacking ideas, no quality in the final third, and these type of comments were not just one off comments, they also said we were mostly without any idea how to break leeds down, who were poor themselves.

  12. I can not understand how people are defending SG and blaming the players. Its Gerrards job to do the work off the pitch with the players, so when they are on the pitch they dont play like they did today. He simply is not doing his job, it is his fault we play the way we do. Yes players can have an off day, but the whole team is playing crap almost every week, and every one says this is the best squad we have had in a long time. It's about time the powers in charge hear the voice of the fans. If we had acted sooner (before Chelsea) then we could have possibly lured Potter, but that ship has sailed so we need to act now or we will be swapping SG for another left over manager that nobody else wanted.
