I won't dwell upon it much but, whilst far from wealthy, we are all quite comfortable, friends and family, except for one very old friend, a lady that is in remission for a type of cancer for the second time, she hasn't been able to work for five years now. We support her as a group, she's stubborn and it's been a fight to help out. She has very little and has had to rely on UC and PIP benefits heavily until we all found out her financial plight. I can tell you that this governments treatment of people like her and disabled people can only be described as cruel. From how I understand how they operate, Terese Coffey and co probably educate benefit staff with a picture of your average benefit claimant, he's a drunk, a drug user, a smoker a wife beater, he has 6 kids and has never worked, every claimant should be treated as though they were this person. So your half dead or disabled genuinely vulnerable, desperate for help person gets treated like they are criminals for claiming.
Their treatment of these people is evil. Their treatment of the genuine benefit scrounging scum is fine but to make the disabled claim the same benefit and be treated the way they do is in mind criminal.
Getting these ******* out will not change things for me but it will, trust me on this, save lives. The people taking their own lives out of desperation is barely mentioned but it is happening.
I wasn't planning to dwell on this much, sorry for the long post.
