    Our passing was very poor today. If we won the ball off Liverpool we immediately gave it back to them on numerous occasions. Barkley should never wear a Villa shirt again - he's just so indecisive all the time, especially around the box. I think Dean made an error today by not bringing Davis on as he could have bullied their defence. If I was Davis I would feel a bit hard done by after my performance at Fulham.

    Whilst the whole team (bar Martinez) were poor tonight, all I can think is that either Barkley has something in his contract to say that he has to play when fit or he's doing something every week in training that is out of this world. He's extremely lazy in matches. Personally I think he's a liability and the sooner he goes back to Chelsea the better.

    Hate to say it as I've never really rated him, but I thought Moyes got the WHU tactics spot on tonight and Smith didn't. Saying that I thought the Villa team looked tired and Barkley and El Ghazi were awful while they were on. Not our best performance this season and I'd go as far as to say it was probably our worst. McGinn looks poor since the COVID outbreak as well.

    I heard Bent say that and couldn't believe it. I thought he was going to say that Pogba tripped himself up so, therefore, it wasn't a penalty! Talk about contradicting himself. Unbelievable.

    We could have had a backlash from Palace though after their pounding by Liverpool, but it didn't materialise. We have stability in the team whereas Chelsea don't if Lampard makes 7 changes as its reported he's going to. I'm going for a 3-1 Villa win.

    HI all I've been watching this forum for a couple of years but only recently joined. I've followed Villa since we were managed by Vic Crowe (early 70's) so quite a few years! Looking forward to joining in the discussions...
