Win every game for the rest of the season and we have a European trophy and are in the Champions League.
Simples.

I'm willing to call 5th place locked now: 13 points clear, opponents can get a maximum of 18 points from their last 6 games. We'll get something from ours.
So now it's the race for 4th, with a free look on 5th getting a CL spot.
Great stuff.

I'm far less worried about Man United than I am about doing our part to help get the extra CL spot.
The most important thing we can do for our chances of CL football is actually winning the Conference League.- 1

Well, Nottingham is the gun crime capital of the UK.
There's still probably less guns in the whole of Nottingham than in a single block of the south side of Chicago!

Emery goes with a very strong line up. I like.
We win the whole thing it's a dial mover on revenue this year. Makes sense.

Boggles the mind that some don't see it. We have our highest earners on £150k p/w. City, Newcastle, and United could double that. Grealish is getting £300k p/w and he's only the third highest earner for City. United has multiple players earning over 300k p/w. You abolish FFP and the vultures will descend and unless we have the revenue to afford higher wages there won't be a thing we can do about it.
However, I don't think anyone can argue that City's squad is twice as good as ours.
My guess is that we intend to play in the tier right below the biggest 4 spenders and make up some of the difference with infrastructure (management, academy, etc). We're never going to complete for the title year on year - it's just not possible at all.
But we can have a run one of the next 5 years, win some cups etc.

Next 3 games in the league are our season. That simple. 7 points or more and I think we're locked for 4th.
-
One of the tough aspects of all of this - if we want to push on then we have to raise prices at VP substantially. It's coming, and given the season ticket waitlist I'm pretty sure they know they can push it through as well.

Ludicrous for people in this thread to think they know better than two self made billionaires and the private equity shop that has just invested into us at a 500 million valuation level.
Nobody in here really has a clue what's going on, and I'm going to trust the billionaires who OWN the business to make the right decisions on how our finances are structured.

Next 3 games... Going with 3 points.
mainly because two of the next three are in Europe and they won't give us any points...

An ugly win is still a win. Tried to get cute and rest up second half. Emery's pivot paid off.
NEXT!

Shocked his house isn't bigger given wages but nice to see a family home rather than a massive mansion for a change
I think a lot of players forget that they won't be working until they are 65 in the job.
Saving the majority of what you make when you have such a short career (that could end at any point) is the right way to go.

Alright - we're all Newcastle fans for the rest of the day.
A way the lads pet, or whatever the heck they say up there.

What a day for us after the United result.
But Pau a big ass scare, praying.

Anyone saying we played badly is wrong. We dominated 75 mins of the 90. Ramsey was annoying in finishing all day. Should have gotten a lot more goals and then conceding two should not have been a problem at all.
Managers performance was good, we had some bad luck today.

It also just taps into the English psyche that being confident is arrogance and “not cricket”. It’s why we produce such uptight and insular people.
Took me a while to get past that mentality after moving to the US.
In the US you tell everyone how good you are or you don't get paid...

21 goal contributions in the league and not including the penalties he won and probably wasnt credited with an assist for the first goal as it hit the post
The guy is actually elite, only Salah has more goal contributions in the league this season
It's insane that we were basically typing the same post in the same few minutes ha...

You can argue which ever way between the three, but it should be an argument including all of them.
I would definitely say that there is no keeper in the league that is more important to their team than Emi is to us.
