honest question, why do you think Thor would be a good Premiership player?, please give me something specific, not just "he's an international", or "he's good", why do you rate him?

    Thor:

    1) scored 53 career goals, 46 of which came in the Tippeligaen League, Serie B or Swiss Super League.

    2) the other 7 goals were scored in the Championship & Serie A, and it took him 85 games to score those 7 goals.

    3) Thor had 2 assists for Villa, in 47 games.

    3) Thor scored 5 goals for Villa, in 47 games.

    4) 53 goals in 287 games, 51of those goals were in "lower league/small league".

Thor is a winger/MC/AMC, how do you defend those stats?, in what way would they translate well to the Premiership?

Winger/MC and DMC. He can possison himself at highest quality (signature of many PL players). He can pass the ball in area where players run into because of hes understanding of the game. He is has sniff up a lots of freekicks in danger area who has end up being goal. He is genius in that act but few notice it. And it has been huge valuable for Icelandic team specially.

There are no shit jobber in top 3 leagues in England. And for sure there are no shit jobber who cap over 80 games for national team who have play in final of last two major tournament. BB was voted mom in last match for Iceland who won Turkey in euro qualify, Gylfi Sigurdsson one of 4 best AMC in premier league came second.

Quality wins in Premier League, not Brentford player and other Championships player who have become most expensive lower league player in the world.

Bjarnason is a shit jobber that looked barely Championship quality at times. Let it go

im not overly keen on Kodjia personally, however you cant really say he didnt succeed in the Championship, the dude scored 48 goals in 139 appearances for BCFC and AVFC.

Not super prolific, but a decent goals to game return for a Championship striker.

Thats right he has good record, but i think players with there kind of international experience are more valuable in PL than in lower leagues.

I wonder if we use Hogan in any potential bid for Maupay?

It would be bad decision to sell high quality international player like Bjarnason, Villa will need that kind of quality in PL. Championship is a bulldog division and player like Kodja, Bjarnason and many other dissapear in that kind of football which is totally different from Premier League. There are also lots of players who have been very good in Championship and have dissapear in PL.

He was GK of the year in Belgium 2 years in a row and in Croatia before that. 2nd keeper in the world cup runner up team and he in fact  was the number one after Subasic retired. Lost his place after his injury.

    so yeah, not highly rated🤨

Highest International experience is not high in value on this chat :) Kalisnic is far better than Steer, and he will show hes guality on the big stage where experience is number one.

Stop making him out to be something he's not. He's an above average young championship dmc.  Arguably even a very good championship dmc. But people are praising him like Gattuso mk2. Just embarrassing.

Hes able to position himself in Premier League class(that is huge), total beast man to man. Can pass the ball ok. I would like to see him little bit taller but its ok. Perhaps he will need to have 2 - 3 mouths in Premier League to get hes best. If he dont go to PL know than he will go next year and do well. Reminds my of Roy Keane because of hes positon quality.

I've no love for Leeds, and Phillips seems like a right ninnyhammer, but he is one hell of a player who has everything we are looking for in a defensive midfielder and youth on his side.

    I agree

I'm not convinced we will get him tbh, at 20m yes but I'm not convinced we would pay close to 30m for him.

    Maybe I'm wrong.

In normal market this is way to much, but if you are buying best man from top teams in Championship they will sell him on double fair price, in past years it has been like that.

    Hello friend.

Why are you talking to yourself?

    Why do you love Thor?

    And who do you support?

Hi. Talking to myself? I dont love Thor i just think he has more possibillities in Premier League than Championship. I have been watching Villa for two years and i belive that i have good knowledge on this team after this time and i like comment on subjects regarding them. Are there some kind of problem? Best regards Jon

Premier league are more now than ever before and that goes down to championship prices. Plus this is for me most potential d.midfielder since young Roy Keane.

30-35 million pounds? Wow. That would break the Championship transfer record by quite some way.

For balance how about including the one he missed against Preston away from 1 yard out!

Great point - i remember this it was first game after he came out of surgery in zero form. And many of the supporters didn want to see him again. Hi missed sitter in one meter or less :) But he got himself into this chance because of his quality understanding of the game and where did other Villa player postion themself!! They where not able to see this change. All football team in highest  need to have player who can sniff up changes that other players dont see, they will miss some of theme but in whole season it will be huge value.
