He's progressing nice, the icing on the cake is Stevie g is now is mentor.
-
Credit where it's due, Ty had a great game yesterday, goal was taken well to and he was involved in the build up.
-
I think he needs to knuckle down and stop the moaning, but no way am I writing him off after 7 starts and no pre season. Come on Stevie sort him out !
-
If he can get back to last season's form he will be fine, just strange how he has dropped in form so much, having said that he's not the only one, so he gets a fresh chance like the rest of the squad for me.

Or he was just injured and now he's back.
I wish I'd of thought of that

We will all soon find out if it was a case of Smith and him not getting on now, cos this guy can play football, just hope Stevie can get a tune out of him cos Smith couldn't.

Paul McGrath (@Paulmcgrath5) Tweeted: I think Villa have pulled the trigger a bit early on Dean Smith, it’s obvious the man loves the club and is doing his best. I honestly think one or two of the players could do with looking at themselves. Best of luck Dean and thanks for your commitment to our club @AVFCOfficial https://twitter.com/Paulmcgrath5/status/1457400767279771652?s=20

The interview was uncomfortable. He spoke well and it’s obviously much better to see a player actually care than be blasé or arrogant but he seems defeated. I know we actually had just been defeated but he seems mentally drained and completely devoid of confidence.
We need them to fight not mope. Have a bit of self belief, guts, determination. Hopefully that will come over the next couple of weeks.
It will come with a new manager
-
Smith don't know how to use him, the players around him need to grow brains and understand how to move !

A manager's reign in football is like no other manager in any job, Smith is out of credits, he's done good things for villa but now it's clear to anyone that he's took us as far as he's capable, nice man, but we move on. Bring in the next man, new thread same old shit! UTV
Your sincerely, villa talk !!!

Great to see this lad getting his chance, at 17yrs old there's gonna be ups and downs, but the coaching staff feel he's ready, looking forward to enjoying the ride with this lad.
-
But he's not a 6ft 4 ball winner
-
Villa's phone will be ringing in the morning to take this lad on loan
-
I know it's only the first game of season but this is a tough watch

Southgate is a lucky bastard!!!

1995 since we last beat this putrid outfit! Let's put that to bed, I just wanna see that Norwegian troll crying in the dugout lol... Joking aside if we are up for it like we were against the Everton, we can beat these joker's! Be nice to do it if only to shut those attention seeking Smith out troll c__ts

Thought Smith was supposed to be an attacking manager?
We look like an awful coached side. Without Grealish we are relegation fodder
Shut up

I'd play traore at cf for Leeds game, that would give us the work rate of trez and watkins on the wings, we're gonna need legs for this one
-
They are a fantastic team and I love bielsa very much

A 9 day gap between matches is like a three month break with the schedule this season. Interesting if we have a longer gap between two games this season. Excluding international breaks I doubt it given FA cup later rounds will be midweek.
And all our games seem to have been on Fridays or Sundays, to be fair the way Leeds ran us around we needed a month rest lol

We had couple of days rest extra over Leeds last game
I know, shows how fit Leeds are to be fair, I was mainly referring to barkley being up to scratch, but the rest of the team looked knackered aswell.

The extra couple of days rest might do us good, Leeds ran the legs off us Friday, barkley looked knackered but that game might do him good, he needs to get fully match sharp cos he hasn't had quite the game time he'd like. I'm going for a 2-1 villa win, i just feel we're much more solid now and the Leeds game we were a bit short on fitness 2nd half, saying that Leeds will do that to every team they play.
Back to winning ways Sunday is the plan, let's get another run going! UTV

I agree.
You have to be very fit to play it.....I am not sure that is high enough on the priority list....I think we seem to be happy with a certain level of fitness and thats all.
I totally agree on the fitness, if there was one area we were beaten in it was the will to run and run, I believe that most teams will get out run and out pressed by Leeds. But that does ask the question can we be fitter than we are. If Leeds can get to those levels then surely we can.
