there is some funny anti-McLeish stuff online all the same
This did make me laugh

Harry Redknapp is king of Mario Kart.
FACT.
Get up there Luigi.
-
We're really back to the Ellis era aren't we?
(accept he would have never appointed McLeish)
personally think this is the wrong game and wrong time for a protest.
-
There is a plan B. We are reducing our wage bill and blooding our academy players into the first team. Once the deadwood has been cut adrift, I think we will spend money again but this time more sensibly
If we plan to spend again firstly why appoint Mcleish?
And if we were going to spend again why did only Mcleish want the job?
We will spend enough to survive, I see nothing to suggest Lerner plans on getting us challenging the top 6 anytime soon.
agreed

The McLeish appointment was such a stupid and recklesss one we we're always going to end up with all this shit this season.
It was so completely unnecessary.
-
Based on Stevo's suggestion...
Move over lmarsha
Needs McLeishs face on main Macron man
-
I think we should embrace the little man.
Lets just make the kit one giant Macron little man logo

edit: double post

When wins as rare as rocking horse shit they end up being desperately overcelebrated.
McLeishs record with us is a mirror image of his dismal Birmingham record last season.
The club have done good job you have to say in regressing us and lowering any expectations of anything.,
-
Expectations have been lowered to SHA levels amongst some fans.

do macron print the badge on? im sure west hams is printed

Here's a question for you all.
Does anyone on here actually trust Mcleish to rebuild the Villa team? I mean, what if Randy did say that he could have say £20-£30m in the summer to do with what he wants. Does anybody actually think that McLeish will make a good job of it? I don't!
No.
I don't either.

Lets just hope it doesnt look awful like most of their shirts

thetress seems just a demented poster who fails to grasp any sense of logic or reality due to his loathing of MON.
MON had faults for sure BTW but again just to make a boring point: -
MON at Sunderland (shitter squad than we have) - 7 wins in 10 Premier league games
McLeish at Villa (with better squad) - 6 wins in 24 Premier league games
These are not hypothetical events - these are COLD HARD FACTS (as you would say) in present time.
Our board have been an utter joke over last 18 months and why you feel the need to play devils advocate to them and their utterly STUPID decisions and seem more focused on imaginaing an alternate reality where MON is to blame for eveything and anything im not sure why.
As for your ridiculous statement that McLeish has same or similar record as MON in Prem
It is utterly so stupid and demented on any level its utterly laughable on any level
Wake up FFS

Im well aware of McLeishs previous form in relegations and well aware of his diabolical win ratio with us.
6 wins in 24 games is embarrasing. 3 wins at home and its now February is indeed ridiculous.
but seriously theres no real chance of relegation IMO.
But what annoys me is this squad shouldn't be in the dunces half of the league and would not be if we had appointed a better manager.
Yes the squad has faults but is not THAT bad .
No matter how detrimental McLeish is he wont relegate us this season. We'll just bumble along cira 12th- 16th . We'll win a couple against the dunces and draw a few more.
I rmber doing the BBC predictor thing and i had us finishing 15th.
You say there is no real chance of us getting relegated and then back that up by saying we finish only 3 places above relegation?
....? So that means theres 'No' chance of it happening? What if we lose just a couple of extra games here and there and the likes of Wolves etc. pick up a few extra points against decent opposition.
Im telling you now, When it comes to it, these teams below us are gonna start fighting and picking up more points because there managers will motivate them to do so. I dont see our manager instilling any confidence into our players.
If I had to liken Mcleish to anything, It would probably be Famine.
Even so - At the risk of tempting fate - we have too much quality for even relegation expert McLeish to take us down THIS SEASON.
There are too many sides that are MUCH worse than us. Confidence or no confidence.
Its between the current bottom 5 as to who goes down.
As shit as McLeish has been and has been at Birmingham i still dont envisage that changing.
This should not be misconstrued as somehow me in anyway rating McLeish . I clearly don't.
But do i think we'll go down ? No.
Being stuck in doldrums of the dunces half of league with winning a measly 6 wins in 24 is enough to warrant criticism without bringing up the hypothetical of a relegation scrap. Which we are not in at moment .

Can't he? Have you seen our run in?
Yep .
Still dont think theres any chance of actual relegation.
Granted wins are as rare as rocking horse shit under this manager but theres too many even worse sides in league this season.
If McLeish ever somehow managed to relegate this squad this season - one that contains Given , Gabby , Bent etc he would go down in history as the most magnificently shittest person ever to have managed anything ever.
It would be such a fantatsically shit achievement it would have to merit some sort of state ceremony or something due to its utterly ridiculous nature

There is a good chance we will be in another relegation fight.
We have a manager who has been relegated more times than he's kept a team up.
We have certain players who seem annoyed.
A player on loan for 6 games shows more passion and fight than the rest of the team.
The attendences keep dropping.
We have an owner who is never here.
A **** shambles from top to bottom.
We wont be relegated.
We will just be in dunces half of table.
Agree McLeish is rubbish tho and his stats make terrible reading but not even McLeish could relegate us.
At least not this season.
-
If we lose against Man City then check this out:
SHA (last season): 25 Games Played, 30 points
Villa (this season): 25 Games Played, 28 points

I would prefer Rodgers over Lambert. High posession is always the best. It's great to watch, it'll create more chnaces and frustrate opponents.
To be honest Rodgers owes Martinez a fair bit for the way Swansea play.
Lambert will end up at a top club - am pretty certain about that.
What hes done at Norwich is no flash in the pan - hes worked miracles there.,
He more than likely wouldn't join us due to his connections with MON - hed probably be bit weary of our current board.
-
Lambert will not come to us, plus we have no money to spend so what could he do? Same players making mistakes
Why wouldn't he come to us? We're a big step up from Norwich (he left Colchester midseason to join Norwich in the first place). We have 4/5 big earners leaving in the summer, so I'm fairly sure we will spend.
He is a good friend of MON.
So he might be bit weary of us but agree someone like Lambert would have made far more sense than tapping up McLeish.
-
To be honest I never really thought he had the dressing room. We've been stumbling along all season.
Actually that was one of the few things he had in his favour.
By all accounts he was well liked by the players.
Who do you want to replace Capello as England manager?

Shocked his resigned.
Redknapp would be daft to take it but he wanted it.
McLeish for England would be my choice.
