The pass to Shaw meant he didn't need to break stride and could whip in the cross perfectly for the opener.

If the pass is slightly under or over hit England dont score because the cross wouldn't have been possible at the angle which allowed sterling to score.

    Genius.

He jinked to play it inside for the first goal, took the RB out of it and then Shaw could run in and cross to Sterling.

The Raheem to Kane and Kane to Jack were just one-twos. Jack made the first goal with the perfectly weighted pass to Shaw.

Make no mistake Jack did the hard part for both goals.

  2. If we’re allegedly willing to pay £40m for Tammy, have paid £33m for Beundia - even though I would like to take a punt on Alvarez - how about a £30m bid for Maupay given he can play up front or AM?

I think we missed out on him in 2019/20 when we chose to go for Wes and DS knows him well.

19 year old footballer in a new country struggles in a struggling team (they were relegated that season weren't they?). I'd say flop is a bit much. He was probably described as such in the press to make a headline and the tag stuck to him.

You’re right but the experience may have scarred him enough not to want to come back to Blighty.

One or two bad games and all the flop talk would be straight back there.

I disagree that Buendia is a "punt". Strengthening the midfield is more of a priority than strengthening our strikers, to which we already have 3 when we only play with 1.  So spending a huge amount of our transfer budget on a striker seems illogical to me.

    He’s a £33m punt vs Tammy for £40m.

We aren't spending £40m on a back up striker. Buendia was needed, we lacked creativity.

I don’t know whether we will or not but apparently you do.

Of course we lacked creativity but you could argue we’ll need more when Jack goes because we don’t sign players like Tammy.

I'd take Tammy on a season long loan with a view to buy if he does well. Wouldn't spend £40m on him now tho.

So we take a punt on Beundia for £33m plus add ons and yet £40m for Tammy who is massively more proven in the Prem but he’s not worth it?

I mean really? At what pint did you decide to ignore logic?

Are you really going down this road? You are making an assumption with absolutely nothing to back it up. There isn't any kind of observation you can you use to back this up.

If Watkins was a Chelsea he would have worked harder than anyone else in training and eventually established himself as their number one striker. As he is better than Tammy and better suited to the premier league than Werner.

Mate you are the one making assumptions.

And now after a season of watching Tammy and a season of watching Ollie I can say with confidence Ollie is a better striker. I can also say that Ollie isn't a great dribbler and his best assets are his workrate, movement, finishing, and tenacity. All perfect for his current pressing forward role.

People's love for Tammy and the role he played in our promotion is clouding people's judgement.

Watkins would have started less games games for Chelsea this season than Abraham.
