Kamara wont be back until christmas/new year, so that a huge loss and the reason we need a DM this summer.
Mings and Buendia will be great to have back in pre season, i just hope they havent lost anything from their injuries.

Would we be willing to keep Zaniolo on loan again to save some money and give him a proper pre season and go?
Still has Aston Villa in his profile on IG as well lol.
Just a thought.
his loan cost us 6m or something, before any wages, not thanks tbh.

Rogers?
i think Rogers was probably more of a team choice (Monchi/Unai), i think the ones we see that will probably be Monchi specific signings are any left field younger players from argentina, other south african players, ie: more unknowns where his scouting network has picked them up etc.

I think it does, but as long as we get a large chunk of money to go with it, I could live with it.
If say we got £60m plus McKennie, it wouldn’t be the worst deal in the world albeit I’d prefer if McFlurry wasn’t part of the deal.
If Juventus are strapped for cash and they REALLY want Luiz, then id be looking at players like Soule and Chiesa + cash rather than Weston.
Im fairly confident Luiz will leave this window and I’m pretty comfortable with it. We just need to make sure we don’t f*** up who we replace him with.
If Juve did want Luiz, and we did want Chiesa, Soule etc, wouldnt the best thing to do be the agreed deals to bolster FFP now by not doing swapsies, but actual transfers (kind of like some clubs are accused of to tweak FFP).
ie: rather than 60m for Luiz plus X/Y player, just agree that they pay 100m for Luiz, then we pay 30m for Soule, 30m for Chiesa, 30m for X player, so we both get the large income on the books now, but purchases are spread over time.
I wondered if that is what was going on with the Barcelona defender, or Barca players, if they wanted Luiz, they agree to buy Luiz for X, we then agree to buy 1/2/3 of their players for Y each, improving our immediate FFP, and theirs, for the risk of costs over time.
Under no circumstances would i want McKennie tho, the guy is cr+p.

Not sure if there is a similar thread elsewhere, if there is, please feel free to merge it.......
Anyway.
Does anyone else feel that we missed a big opportunity in 2011 by voting against proportional representation? (as a country).
Do you think the general public would be more pro proportional representation in 2024?, especially considering the mess that the UK has been in over the last 15-30 years.
If most people knew that their individual vote would go towards proportional representation, and you arent stuck with the main two parties, im guessing many people might be interested in that now?, unless you are a die hard labour/tory voter who would vote for them regardless of whether they are useless or not.

another elite Southgate masterclass.
we are very lucky to have him.

How are we doing against Brasil & Herzgentina?

How is this even real???
The game is beyond broken (and corrupt).
Im assuming we can now re-up our stake in Vitoria and play in the same completion, in the same way!?!? (if it happened?)

I keep swapping over and trying to find my best team any tips!?
really depends what you are looking for tbh.
If its for your main character, i always tend to prefer a charisma/skills based main as it really helps with persuasion, skill checks, lock picking etc
my current 4 person group is:
- Main - Bard 10 (School of Swords), Fighter 1, Sorcerer 1 - Urchin background, and focus in on persuasion, perception, insight and sleight of hand.
- Shadowheart - Storm Sorcerer 1, Light Cleric 11 - using the radiating orb build.
- Gale - Warlock 1, Draconic Sorcerer 11 - using fire pew pew and command spell upcasted.
- Minthara - Warlock 2, Fighter 4, Draconic Sorcerer 6 - doing the Eldritch Blast build where you can get up to 12 eldritch blasts off in a round if needed.
-
Laezel - if you have her in your 4, she makes a superb Fighter 12, pure fighter is very, very good for a party member.
In general though, Paladin, Bard, Sorcerer, Fighter, are all very strong main char builds, especially if multiclassed.
Sorcadin (paladin 6 / sorcerer 6), Lockadin (Warlock 5, Paladin 7), Gloomstalker (Ranger 5, Fighter 4, Rogue 3), Sword Bard (Bard 10, Fighter 1, Wizard 1 or Sorcerer 1), Bardadin (Bard Swords 10, Paladin 2), Draconic Sorcerer, are all powerful builds.
If you are unsure about multiclassing as you are newish to the game, a pure 12 levels in Swords Bard, Draconic Sorcerer, Paladin or Fighter will be very good (but Bard & Sorcerer would be better "mains" probably, due to their Charisma).
Really up to you though!, so many variations, and its as much as about the play style you enjoy, as it is about min maxing.
This link might give you some ideas, its not my Google spreadsheet, but it is a good overview of some builds.
also, there is a reddit page, r/BG3builds, that has a lot of builds and discussions/questions about builds and mechanics.

I can't believe people are actually still debating mckennie.
Do people forget he has actually played in the PL?, and was terrible?
So bad not a single PL club signed him after his PL loan ended.

Red Bull are falling apart again.
Got a ring to it, no?

I would like to know, genuinely, at what point he realised his Liverpool dream was over.
At what point did he realise that his dream died.

Transfermarkt has us with 3% as an interested club for Olise but we are obviously stacked on the right with Bailey and Diaby.
He is such a a good player. Likely to go to another top 4 chasing rival. Heard on talksport Utd are close to signing them.
Olise is a superb player, but he is injured...a lot.

I don't think I'd even take McKennie on a free.
i agree.
i was lying in my bed recently and i thought...i wonder if we will be linked with a cr*p player like McKennie again this summer, after we were touted to sign him a couple of seasons ago, many VT fans got super excited, and then he turned out to be dire when he did end up going to a PL club.
It seems the cr*p links are still here.
I wouldnt take him on a free, waste of wages.

Who have they got who is worth any real money?
Summerville, Gnonto, Gray.
To a lesser degree Meslier and Rutter.
The problem is though, if they lose Summerville, Gnonto and Gray, and dont replace them intelligently, there is no way they will be in a promotion chase next season?

What was that one year extension all about a few months ago then?
Great bloody news tho, the good times just keep rolling
the previous one was just triggering the extension to his original contract (3.5 year base plus 1 optional - or something)
this is a brand new 5 year contract, with a huge pay rise i guess.
