Seriously folks I thinks it has got disaster written all over it. As if that isn't bad enough we would have put up with all his excuses "well that was before I arrived" "the players weren't fit enough" - and then of course with new owners being a bit green, he will probably get a £3m payout when we sack him.
Same criteria for any manager - if he wins games I will like him - if he doesn't I won't - no excuses
So you're moaning about the excuses Henry might use IF he gets appointed and IF he does badly?
Sounds like a pretty bad excuse for not wanting him as manager to me.

I d still hate him
But would you be happy that he'd done a good job? Surely that would be more important than personal hatred.

Because he will inflict so much pain on our club.
And what if he doesn't?

We very nearly didn't have a club to support this time last week. Now we have the third richest owners in the country. Personally I'm excited and whatever they decide I will support 100%.

Well AgentDave thinks he’s gone and Alan Nixon does to so that’s good enough for me.
How reliable is that AgentDave?

Before the takeover when it looked like we were in dire straits I was 100% Bruce in. Now, I'm on the fence. New owners may mean its best we aim for a new direction. Really not sure. Suppose it depends on who would replace him.

Good to hear the Talk Sport team sounding genuinely pleased for Villa.
I used to hate Jim White but he seems to genuinely like the Villa so he's alright.

I must admit I was lost with all that, but clearly he has read into this and knows his stuff. He sounded like we have nothing to worry about, and it's down to some accountancy work done the year we came down which the new owners can easily exploit.....
Also said, villa now have the 3rd richest owners in english football. just let that sink in. only man city and chelsea are ahead of us.....if they want to flex their muscles.....wow!
Yeah he lost me too but I get lost watching Dragon's Den so don't ask me on land valuation! But he definitely knew what he was talking about and I liked everything he said so HAPPY DAYS.

I'm far from an expert on all things business and finance so excuse me if I misheard or misunderstood what he said but sounded to me like he said when we got relegated we took an "impairment hit" on all the land we own (including Villa Park) and now if we were to revalue that we could get well over 40 million.
No idea if I understood that right but that's what it sounded like to me.

Just caught that too - £40 mill right there from that revaluation. That's FFP utterly sorted.
Right, let's get spending then!!!

OK so apparently it's not all doom and gloom with FFP
When we got relegated we wrote down the value of the land we own by £44m so apparently they could look at re-valuing the stadium and land we own to give us some wriggle room.
Yeah, that bit sounded very promising. He seems convinced it's nowhere near as bad as has been made out.

Very interesting listening to him on TalkSport now. Saying we could get a revaluation of all the land we own (which apparently we own a lot) which could get us in excess of 40 million.
-
Also says Xia will not be around for long.
-
Matt Scott on TalkSport now. Just talking about the new owners. Said they're a massive step in the right direction.
Said they're the third richest owners in English football and "rest assured they are very very proper business people".

Bless them. They've just had the best season in their history and still all they can talk about is us. Do they even realise how utterly irrelevant they are to us?

Those at the game today look out for his reaction at the end.
Watching it on YouTube. Just came off and didn't really do anything. Didn't look like it was his last second in a Villa shirt.

He is most probably out the door now. In essence he's just a share holder by most reports.
Yeah, pretty sure that's the case. I'm just looking forward to the day when he has literally nothing to do with us.

If we get big money for him and somehow are able to all invest all of in to new players then im happy for him to leave.
That would certainly be better than just selling him so we can pay the bills but I still wouldn't be happy. I'd be more gutted about him leaving than any other player that has ever left. The thought of seeing him in another teams shirt is too much to handle.

I don't think so. It was definitely a quick way to get cash into the club as I 'think' a full takeover would of gone beyond the deadline for the bills we had to pay. The fact the EFL approved the deal so quickly is testament to how dire the situation was. I'm sure once they pass the proper tests which won't take weeks like Xia did) we will see more info. For now though Xia is around...........to make the tea.
On a serious note, If I were the new guys I'd ask Xia to stop tweeting now. It's not needed and is just a distraction. We need the upmost professionalism moving forward.
So all sounds like they'll be in full ownership within a couple of months then and Xia will be history? The sooner the better.

Absolutely this.
Give him a good contract and stick in a beefy minimum release clause too of minimum £40m plus other little add ons thrown in for good measure.
Definitely. It would really show they mean business. Says to everyone else we will not sell our players cheap anymore. If you want them, then pay up. Otherwise sod off!

Xia simply refused to sell his entire stake. They absolutely do and will take us over 100%. I can't see this current arrangement going on beyond the year.
Is it just a case of fit and proper persons test now before the full takeover?

Unless things are already in place behind the scenes/been worked on already then it's not impossible really. But it's all ifs and buts.
I just hope they don't sack and replace Bruce once the windows are totally shut after August 31st.
If we are to act then I hope its soon.
Yeah, agreed. If they want to go a different direction, whatever that may be, then do it now. Not after the season has started.
