It seems like Andy Street has lost - will this affect re-development and witton station?

We could possibly make up any FFP short fall in sponsorship of VP and BMH - possibly academy building/warehouse too.

Sensible and fair increase.

Doug will bounce back. I don't think he has "super star" ego, it is more laid-back attitude.

I think he will be third choice next season.

I would just like an Architect to design something that can be unique to Villa and still looked upon fondly in 100 years rather than a design with half of its frontage consisting of glass forcing me to think its Anfield 2.0 rather than a modern representation of what most people believe to be iconic Villa Park.

I agree. I think the warehouse is a better fit than Villa Live aesthetically.

Rebuild the Doug Ellis stand into a larger main stand and recreate the old trinity facade.

1000 per cent. A new stadium or significant redevelopment of VP is a must.

This allows the non-euro/ newly promoted teams the financial ability to spend more on some of our fringe players, i.e Dendonker.

It is important to remember Olsen is lacking match practice too.

I am not making this up. I said "silently" protesting. I.E we don't fully believe in the leadership or direction of the club. Prior to Xia - we had years of poor football/results at VP, bad owner, poor managers, poor players which alienated fans. Trust was broken. There is no context to your original post. Most clubs will have big attendance dips if they had the years of decline and experiences that we had. 

People were questioning Xia from the outset, then we had not so popular managerial appointments added on top with poor football. It is important to remember we were still one of the highest attended clubs in the championship (over 30k), if not the highest by the time of our return to the top flight. This is always never considered but only that our support is "fickle". Our core support is loyal.

Our attendances rocketed under NSWE and Smith in the championship to over 40k, which showed our attendances can be increased when trust is regained with the wider fan base. IF we had that set up after Lerner, we would have had over 40k in our first championship season imo.

The capacity increase is about finding that sweet spot inbetween 50k-60k imo.

Our fan base is fickle and not that dedicated when results drop off.

When in Championship our average attendance was 32k, while Newcastles was 51k...98% capacity of their stadium.

Those are numbers without context though. We had a lot fans silently protesting ownership of the club too.

He is promoting our heritage and history. Fair play.

 Heck mentions rebuilding and adding to VP. This, I suspect, is over a longer period. Heck's job is very much looking for further short term growth.

I am expecting bigger news on VP redevelopment this summer. The delay on the NS may have been waiting on Atairos joining the club as a funding partner for the new ns and other projects.

Heck seems to hint at redevelopment of VP too.
