To be fair, sports journalists in and around the club, with contacts etc.. It's their job to 'understand' such things, surely.

If Martinez is as good as Arsenal fans suggest, then no way is Heaton getting back in. He's come here to establish himself and push his career to the next level. Nothing less. Could be an inspired signing this.

Tom Heaton pretty dismayed by this signing according to reports (Mail). Understandable, as this puts him firmly in the #2 position. That's football though.
