We probably need a goalkeeper as HEaton will miss start of season, maybe the rumours about Gollini returning might have something in it though would also indicate the terrible management of the past.

    Anybody but Butland

I would try and keep Reina. I think him and heaton would be brilliant competing against each other

  3. We need goals and pace. A proven striker and at least 1 quality winger (preferably 2) is the bare minimum we need.

We don’t want to go out and sign another 8-9 players. We want 3 or 4 to improve the starting 11 and then maybe 1 or 2 players for the future, maybe a young lb to compete with targett

  4. Tbf if Smith is sacked, I think it has to be terry until the end of the season purely down to the fact we don’t know what league we will be in and think that one of the so called “they will keep us up” type managers like fat Sam would be appointed and everyone would be calling for his head 5 games into next season.

Give it terry, unless now Liverpool have won the league they fancy loaning us Klopp for the last few games 😂

Even if you stay up and we don't make it I think there is very little chance of him going to Villa, he is one of our highly prized assets and he still has 2 years to run on his contract + option of another year so he won't be going on the cheap, Villa wouldn't pay the alleged fee we asked for last year, so what is different? besides him and his partner love the London life and if he does move on I would put money on him joining a Premiership London club, as they seem to have already taken an interest in him.

On the other hand I hope it is as you predict, fingers crossed, as I always love a trip to Villa Park

He was injured last summer and we needed to pretty much sign a full squad mate. If we stay up it will (hopefully) be quality this time round over quantity

I'd be wary of signing too many players from championship clubs and poorer premier league teams, I think if we want to progress we're going to not only have to sign better quality players but also players with experience at playing and succeeding at an higher level, ones that can set an example and set higher standards for the club, not everyone has to meet that criteria of course but it will help if we can bring in a few like that. That said wouldn't mind either of Eze or Benrahama.

Agreed mate. We could do with 3 quality players to improve the starting 11 and then maybe 1 or 2 of the better players from the so called weaker leagues that don’t have to slot straight into the first 11 and instead have time to adjust to the club and players, a bit like Leicester have done with soyuncu and Justin, they have been given a season to get to know the club and soyuncu stepped up to fill the hole from slab head and Justin will likely do the same should chillwell leave.

He’d be my dream signing, would he be yours too? He’d cost a lot though no doubt but I think he’d worth it. He’s a brilliant centre forward and he’s at a great age too

I would absolutely love him here mate. We saw how good he was last season for us and this season for Chelsea. He will only get better too

Chelsea are in talks for Timo Werner, maybe that means that Tammy Abraham might be available?

Just saw this myself mate, I was about to say if we stay up it’s worth looking into

I think Curtis Davies has had a good career, solid defender, rarely makes mistakes. I think he made the England squad once when he was with us but he didn’t get on the pitch. I thought he was good for us, Birmingham City,  WBA and Hull City in the Premier League. If Konsa goes on to have as good a career as Davies, he’ll have done well, I have very high hopes for Konsa

Sorry mate, I disagree. We want Konsa to do much better than Davies. Davies never really pulled up any trees for Villa and after leaving went to lower half prem/championship teams. We want (need) Konsa to fulfil his full potential and not be content as an ok championship CB.

He's been one of very few highlights in a pathetic Werder Bremen this season.

He's pretty versatile and can play anywhere in the attacking line but I think LW would be his usual position.

Good pace, explosive, agile, good with the ball, tricky and a solid shot and cross. Only seen him maybe 10 or so times over 2 seasons so not enough to really judge.

    Perfect summary of him mate

Yeah he's more of an impact sub these days there. Still scored a brace away to Bayern Munich, Dortmund when he came on as a sub in the 4-3 win (one of the games of the season in any league) and also v Rangers in the europa.

Seems he still gets linked to Chelsea although that's a lazy link as I think they'll seriously go in for Sancho.

To me he's the sort who's stock has lowered a bit so wondering if he could try to get him. Bit like Felipe Anderson being linked to Man. United for a year, it dosen't happen and then two years later West Ham sign him.

Bailey is still rapid and can score goals so I'd still be pretty confident he's an upgrade on the others we have.

Leverkusen are actually one of those clubs who have fantastic scouting and pick up promising players, usually get good ones from South America like Alario and Paulinho in their current team.

I would much prefer Rashica. I have only seen Bailey play twice and he was awful in both (so it’s not a completely fair assessment from me) but I have seen rashica play about 6-7 games and he has been outstanding. He is fast, scores and gets assist and can take set pieces. His stats are also better than baileys this season and he is in a relegation battle. I also think Rashica would be the cheaper of the 2

    Great minds .... 🤔😉

Ive always considered myself an armchair scout front the endless weeks spent playing championship manager. I’m not any good but I do like searching for players, reading up On them from many sources and obviously the obligatory YouTube vids.

A player that has really impressed me is a young USMNT striker at Bremen is Josh Sargent - this kid has massive potential and maybe we could do some kind of deal on him and Rashica - especially if they get relegated. Also would rather we go for Joe Rodon from Swansea than Luyindama but he has been linked with Citeh previously.

I didn’t even realise Bremen were in the relegation zone. If we stay up I would go all out for them. Rashica has similar stats to Jack this season and both of them are in relegation battles. He is what we need fast, skilful, direct and explosive. Sargent would be a great prospect also

    I just can't see it.

I think our coaching staff has looked completely lost and out of depth at this level.

Tbf I do agree that the coaching department seems to be lacking which does need to be put right. If our tactics on set pieces was right we wouldn’t be in the relegation zone now

There is no evidence to support that.

We've been getting worse since that opening game against Spurs

We have owners that are willing to back us and have said last summer was about quantity and this summer if we stay up is about quality. We also currently have one of the hottest properties in English football

Thae game against spurs away was good defensively for 45 minutes, we have put in better performances this season than the opening day

I think a bigger and higher placed in the league club will be in for him sadly. I think he’s excellent

You may be right mate. We do need to be in for quality players though this summer, we have had the squad fillers and now it’s time for quality

If we could only sign three players this summer what positions and who would you go for if we retain our prem status ?

DM and 2 wingers. Billing, benrahma and Rashica.

Rashica is unlikely but if we stay up then we need at least 1 ambitious signing of real quality

Oui just need to sign some good players better than the ones that we already have, do that and we will improve overall whether Grealish stays or not. It's not like to improve we have to sign a bunch of players as good as Grealish to make  any progress. Although obviously would be nice to keep Grealsh and improve the rest of side, we can still improve without him, as many teams have when losing their star player.

Agreed mate. Obviously we all want to keep jack and if we do and strengthen other areas then we can be pushing for mid table.

I also think a few of our players will be better after having a year in the pl to settle such as Guilbert, engles, konsa and Nakamba all of which have had a few good games and a few bad.

I wonder if we should put in a cheeky bid for Dwight McNeil who is rated in a similar price bracket to Benrhama and Rashica. ? Who would others like to see signed?

Toon or Spuds most likely destination but he is an exciting young player and would hopefully be an upgrade on Trez & AEG who are far too inconsistent.

Out of those 3 I would take Rashica (I would be happy with any of the 3) but I can’t see him wanting to mover to us. He is an absolute baller and would be a major upgrade on the wing
