I like how he aims for the absolute far corner when he shoots, even when he's point blank in front of a keeper, just out of their reach. Some of our strikers would do well to learn from that.

Way out of our league but we could do with someone like Milinkovic-Savic
Not necessarily a DM, but a strong physical presence who would benefit us in certain games and prevent us being overpowered etc.Someone with an eye for a pass and shot at goal (unlike Nakamba).
Let’s sort that front 3 first though! Starting with Rashica

Our two best & most technically gifted players, hope we can add more of this kind of quality and have many more moments like this:

He's lethal running at defences in a central position. Such an exciting player.
Also, there's this video too. This was the last game of the season, Bremen needed to win and potentially by 4 goals in order to stay up. Rashica was absolutely incredible. Highlights include his goal starting at 1:06, his run through the middle and shot at 1:55 and possibly my favourite, his assist at 2:50.

Its more a question of does the manager, scouts, recruiters, see the role as important to them......I think is we got a good one, it would transform us......and certainly give us more strength away from home.
I guess, if you get one from South America like Fernandino.....they can play a bit too.
These players are out there, it is spotting them, thats the tricky bit.

I'd seen figures of £8m banded about for him. Tough one at that...he's not particularly good at PL level, but £8m isn't a lot in this day and age. It's a £3m Zat Knight from MO'N days. Might be good to have him as cover, we need a right footed CB. You'd like to think our ambition was higher, but he'd be a decent squad player akin to keeping Chester if his injuries hadn't ruined him.

Anyone seen the story about him allegedly demanding 200 k per week, "whether it be from us or another club" etc.

If we cant get Heaton back in goal I want Steer in. Nyland did look much better than previous season but still abit nervous out there at times. Who isnt though when the rest of the team was failing and defence and goal getting peppered with shots, eventually someone makes a mistake.
The only issue I have with Heaton & Steer is their injury record & proneness.
I am sick to death of Nyland, he needs to be offloaded. Can’t really form an opinion on Kalinic but he needs to go as he has been out of favour for so long.
We need a new keeper (again!) that is reliable most of all and not a nervous wreck or susceptible to dropping clangers.
If Heaton stays fit he’s such an asset but there is simply no guarantee of that and we would be left in trouble again should he break down again.
Feel for Steer, has such bad luck & bad injuries. May need to move him on if he keeps struggling but he does deserve a chance after his heroics in getting us up.
A dependable keeper for the long term would be such an asset.
This team needs so much improvement and I hope we go all out to give us the best chance at some kind of success this season...
Starting with a new & superior front 3!

Yeah just thought it would be interesting to have another look at that vid and review it after his first season.

He can be our playmaker, orchestrating the attacks from deep. Jack can play further upfield or closer to the striker and bag those goals and assists.
They just need quality around them so that they can focus on their strengths.
They are both, by far, our most technically proficient players and we need to build & enhance the team around them.
If they are assisted by better players, it lightens their load and extra responsibilities (e.g. Jack always having to come back for the ball and everyone just passing to him immediately) and we will see the best of their talents and hopefully those of the superior players we are bringing in. Most importantly, better forwards.

Shame Reina is gone. Heaton is injured. I'm terrified of our keeper situation.

I hope your right as I think that's what we should be doing rather than buying all these media suggested signings. I'd like to think we are going after some decent class signings who wont let you breath, take a second of breath, down your throat till the ball back in our possession, some real fast frantic ball getters is what we need. Also some truly pacey Wingers that live, feel the cross who know when to send it and when to drive in from the flank and make a good bit of mess for the opposition defence.
I feel those type of players we wont be getting at champ clubs, nor players from the top clubs in this league who are trying to sell last seasons players because they to are hunting for those abroad at the top clubs in europe. The next big signing, the next big name is what the like of Man utd, Chelsea, City and Liverpool are looking for, we to can go there and find them ourselves, we just have to be smart about it, one will come soon enough I'm sure of it.
Can only hope.
