SHA.  It looked nailed on that he was joining them until negotiations stalled, ie he wanted more money.

12 months later Alex rocked in B6 and the rest is history.

    Is SHA Southampton or what?

  2. Wouldn't be surprised when an Arabian club would give him a chance, or even Chinese Super League or Chinese 2nd division or something like that.

I could even imagine him going to the MLS lol.

  3. Why not try me?

I am a 16 year old (NO LIE) defender and I can....defend (GET IN!), and I would give a **** for the team I support, and I would play for free.

Maybe if you like this comment enough it would get attention! (I don't really think so...)

Anyway, our season is over so why not test me. I am better than Lescott! (Doesn't mean that I am good, I could still be piss poor)

But don't you want some joy, and see a 16-year old Villa fan try to make history....

Well I am just one silly kid I believe.

    Well, now you know.

You could test me and then give me a 5 year contract with...I would say at least 60000 pounds a week. (Wouldn't be the worst decision Villa made in the last 5 years...)

    So #DenisforVilla

Something's gone wrong with my screen, there appears to be a bigger number next to Villa's name than there is for the opposition

    Is your screen alright now?

You'd want a 22 year old, League One keeper as first choice next season?!

Edit:  Admittedly, I know nothing of the guy at all - but that seems brave :o

I haven't seen him play either, but he seems to be one of the best league one keepers, and he has still got decent potential.

He could be a PL goalkeeper in the future, and teams like Everton,Bournemouth and Norwich are interested in signing him as the media says.

Just watched Burnley vs Preston and Barton was absolutely excellent.

As much as I hate the prick, he'd be a great signing if Burnley decide he's not up to the Premier League.

    Yes he was.

But I think with this performances Burnley will defenitly take him up to the PL.

He's got enough PL experience and he can still do a job there.

Aston Villa cancel player of the year awards as relegation looms

Aston Villa have suffered a record-equalling 10 home losses this season. Aston Villa have cancelled this season's player of the year awards with the club facing relegation.

Villa are nine points adrift at the bottom of the Premier League having won just three games all campaign and could go down on Saturday.  "In the current circumstances, we are sure our supporters will understand," a club spokesman said.

There have been several fan protests against owner Randy Lerner, including during the recent home loss to Chelsea.

During the game, supporters held up banners that read: "Proud history, what future?"

Villa supporter Mike McKenna, who organised the recent fan walkout protests during home games against Everton, Chelsea and Tottenham (MMcK we only walked out v Everton) said: There is a toxic atmosphere at the club at the moment. The players are not generally well liked." Aston Villa fans have made their feelings known at recent matches  "Unfortunately, the complaints about the likes of [Micah] Richards, [Gabriel] Agbonlahor, etc have rubbed off on other players. "Maybe Jordan Ayew deserved an award but, with the toxic atmosphere, the club have thought it would only garner bad publicity to garnish the players with awards.

"Generally, I would think the supporters support the decision not to have awards as there is nothing to celebrate."

    Oh yes that was quick

  8. Can we rather vote for:''Stupidest timed Twitter post of the season''(Lescott)

or ''Stupidest timed party of the season''(Grealish)

or ''the biggest d*ck of the season''(Gabby)?

Would make more sense, wouldn't it?

Gabby in 8th position? He must have been doped. :D

Yes it seems very strange. But until it's not concerned I believe in them, and that they aren't doped.

It would be hilarious but sad.

  10. Maybe a 4-4-2 diamond formation would do well for us.

I know it's a bit too offensive but having Ayew linked up with another solid incoming striker would work.

But I doubt Ayew will stay. I think he will go to another low midtable PL site or back to the Ligue 1.

Get Dwight Gayle in and maybe the NG'Bakoto guy from Ligue 2. (Only a suggestion).

Than we have Grealish in the number 10 role and a defensive minded CDM behind him.

On the right side I would keep Adama, as he can be very explosive.

On the left side I would like to see an incoming, although we still have Sinclair.

I know he has been very poor this season, but 2010/2011 he has proven himself on Championship level.

As a backup he would be expensive but usefull maybe. But I wouldn't be sad if he leaves.

We surely need a new Right Back. I don't know who. I have suggested Bardsley earlier.

In the Central Defense I would keep both Clark and Okore, and buy 2 new ones, and Donacien as the 5th one.

Left Back I would definatly keep Amavi, and I would give Kinsella his chance as a backup.

For the Goalkeeper I would only keep Steer as a backup, and bring Bentley or anyone else with potential or experience in. Bunn can go.

  12. I bet the Spurs will be the Champions in the end off the season.

Curry won't be as great in the post season.

His 3pt-percentage will fall to under 40% I think.

The Western Conference final will be the most epic ever I think.

As much as I don't like many of our players, that could hurt the club's reputation and damage us in the summer.  I am generally against booing Villa players even if a lot of them are words removed.

    Yes that's right.

It would get attention but their would be many that critisis that, and other players wouldn't come because they know when they play bad, the fans aren't behind them.

Villa Fans would get a complete new image for others who don't know us.

Great post! Some very realistic signings in here which I think we should look at. David Marshall would be a class signing IMO.

The suggestion of Stephen Ireland did make me retch a little though.

    Yes I know I made a mistake there. ^_^

doubt it but Glenn Murray could be and he is very handy in Championship

Yes Murray is a good shout.

Wilson is still the best striker Bournemouth has. And Bournemouth payed 7 Million pounds for Grabban(!), so they would probably want 10+ Million pounds for Wilson, and I doubt we would pay that in the summer on one player.

  16. Thanks to you all.

I think Ireland has still some quality, and he would be very cheep.

But you must know better than me.

Did something happen between Villa and Ireland, I don't know, can someone pls tell me?
