i know people were saying that we might have a few games in China or against "Chinese teams" in the pre-season, but i remember the Dr saying how he wanted to purchase a house over here, so perhaps having everybody in the UK, including him, for pre-season is a good idea ?

if the 40mill figure is ANYWHERE near correct for players, i'd love to try and bring in Cook and Taylor from Leeds, Dack from Gillingham and i agree with trying to get someone "like" Remy in on loan for a year to try and get us out of this league at first attempt.

30-40mill? if that's true that's not a bad budget for the championship, it looked like Di Matteo was all but signed, but maybe now with a bit more stability and possibly money a few other names might be interested, although saying that, reports of 10+mill required for the likes of McCormack (guaranteed goals in the championship, as much as i don't really like him haha) means only two or three "decent" signings in this market, i'd quite like Cook and Taylor from Leeds though

seems to be be massively contrasting reports on him, a lot of well respected people saying he's "EXTREMELY wealthy" and a lot of people saying he's a bit dodgy, we'll just have to wait and see but we all have every right to be skeptical. I keep looking at it as imagine if we had never heard of Randy Lerner and we are now being taken over by an american billionaire we would probably be quite excited, it all depends on how much he's going to put in, i was a little bit dampened by the comment from Lerner about making the stadium better to get a secondary income, hopefully it will be JUST that and not relying on to fund the team. i for one AM excited and i think we all deserve to have a bit of hope and excitement for now, at least...

i think Benteke is out of reach, regardless of how much money we have, but i really do think those three plus a "focused" Grealish and a few acquisitions and we could be looking at a really decent team to push with next year, it's exciting times

i wonder now IF there is a bit of money knocking around, if we may be able to tempt a few of the lads here now to stay , (Traore, Ayew and Amavi) i think would be a great shout to help us bounce straight back, or do you think it's too late and they're already talking to clubs?
