  1. Is anyone else almost enjoying it in a perverse kind of way?
  2. Why do some poeple love saying this thread is pathetic? All I've seen is people berating a poor performace, and I think the scoreline pretty much backs them up. Instead of simply calling everyone 'pathetic', why not try and offer constructive views on where it went wrong? Or do you not think it went wrong?
  3. And he's on the pitch with the Fonz. It should be the recipee for a joyous occasion. Where did it all go wrong?
  4. I have no idea who's playing where any more. I kind of like it.
  5. Shockingly bad defending from Dunne there. The whole defence have had a stinker.
  6. In fairness, he's been thrown in at the deep end considering he hasn't played for ages.
  7. Our defence has fallen apart in recent weeks. Bad position from Young and poor from either Collins or Dunne (Dunne, I think) to not pick the Chelsea man up.
  8. What the hell was that delivery from Young and that pass fronm Warnock to Milner a few moments after? Our quality is well below par sometimes.
  9. there was no contact so how was it a penalty? There was contact. Minimal, but enough. He wasn't going towards goal though. He was quite clearly heading away from goal. That, for me, makes it not quite stone-wall. But Collins was stupid to give the ref a decision to make. Exactly, he was going away from goal. Plus the ball was going out, so I doubt he would have retained possession. Poor from Collins anyway. I don't get why one or two people have decided to change the rules of the game...so what if he was going away from goal?
  10. there was no contact so how was it a penalty? looked like he clipped him to me. Could ne wrong though, would need to see it again. Either way, it was a bit silly of Collins to put his foot in there when it was so obvious the Chelsea man would get his toe on it.
  11. That was thick from Collins, you could clearly see the player was going to nick it. No complaints about the pentaly being awared. I do have a few complaints about their dirty challenges escaping the ref's attention though.
  12. Did you see the Sunderland game? yeah and take craig gordon out of the game and we would have had 3-4 more goals, we played ok against sunderland, but it just wasnt our day. That's true, we probably would have scored a few if they had no keeper.
  13. Completely disagree, but then I'm sure we've had the discussion before somewhere... I think Randy runs the club perfectly, it's down to the manager to make the most of what he has - which is more than most. but still not enough to get us to where most fans, and the owners, want Again, I simply don't agree. If Arsene Wenger had been in charge, I'm pretty sure we'd be a top 4 side within 5 years. Maybe Martin will do it, we'll have to wait and see.

I think Randy runs the club perfectly, it's down to the manager to make the most of what he has - which is more than most. It is more than most but most importantly, it isn't as much as our competitiors at the top of the Premier League and he started from a much lower squad base than all of our competitors except Man City. I think we do spend as much as many of our competitors: Liverpool, Spurs, Everton, Arsenal. I accept the point about starting off at a lower level than some of them, but that's why he has been given time and its why I think he should have another season. If, after 5 years, he doesn't look like being good enough to be a real top 4 challenger, maybe it's time to move on. Spurs have built a decent squad in recent years but weren't able to mould a fluid team together. Now Rednapp has come in and shown that he could be the man. No-one is saying we have more right to be in the top 4 than anyone else, but if we have a manager who looks unable to do it, why not try somebody else who might, rather than simply accepting our lot for time immemorial?
  15. I also agree with paulanddonna that all this talk of there being nobody else out there is tosh. There are numerous top managers who would jump at the chance of managing a top-8 premier league side with £20m+ to spend every season. Off the top of my head, I think Bilic could be very, very good. Not that I want MON out, I think he deserves next season before we finally evaluate if he has what it takes.

  17. I've said it elsewhere and a million times in the past, but I do care about attractive football. If we don't have a realistic chance of winning the league, which we don't, I'd rather see us attempt some quality football and lose 3-2 and hold out for a 1-0 borefest. On the note of who's won things, what has MON won in England that Harry hasn't?
  18. The league table clearly shows that Spurs are better than us. But then, they have the better manager, so I suppose that's to be expected. They have the better manager? Please explain. I've always thought it too. I don't like to admit it but he seems to be able to produce really attractive footballing sides and Tottenham are getting the results now too.
  19. Even though we drew today I certainly wasn't bored watching it. Then you're a lucky man. Personally, I thought that 2nd half was Sunday parks stuff - and I can watch that for free.
  20. When I had a season ticket standing on the Holte as a 14 year old and it worked out to about £5 a ticket, I enjoyed the football for what it is - just a game. Now it costs well over £30 a game, I want some value for my money, not to be bored rigid each week.
  21. Bit of a harsh choice...can we not have a middle one?
