  1. He orchestrates from the very back of our team. He can launch a fast counter attack just as good as he can tell everybody to push up and slow things down with a big kick up the pitch. His impact is way beyond him being good at saving the ball, he is the man who starts everything and dictates the type of attack we go with at the time, unbelievably good.

  2. He will dominate Benteke today. As much as I love CB, I watched the last few palace games and in my opinion he still doesn't look at it. It is a shame because I still believe he could have been one of the best in the world, he had everything, but it just isn't there any more for whatever reason. I see Hause being instrumental to our defence being up against him, if they're smart they will try to utilise CB in order to bring their other players into the attack.

Hope Hause keeps up his form because if he stays switched on he'll win his battles today I'm sure of it.

  3. As much as we can't get carried away thinking he is going to transform into Ronaldo, but we've all seen his ability and the attributes he has that can make him a very good player on his day. Yes he is a confidence player, and it is clear his confidence had been shot to pieces for a while now, but even from last week you could see Jack was really trying to get him amped up after scoring. Great to see the players giving him a boost on social media too, you can't help but love this squad, genuinely all in it together and will back each other up when it is needed.

Stick behind him, he has always said he likes being here and although he is hot and cold on the pitch I can't say he doesn't give his all for the team. The man broke his fast so that he could play for us.

  4. You can see Traore is working a lot harder today and it seems to be helping the link up with Cash. They look great together so far tonight, that bit of interplay where they were giving the ball back to each other was lovely, 5/6 interchanges between them both took us from our own half right up to there byline. Love it.

  5. He can play football that is for sure, however you can see his confident is in bits hence his lack of desire to take shots. He came close with a half volley in the first half, had a few more chances that he should have taken, but you can say that for a fair few of our players tonight. Give him a chance at least

I watched it and found it interesting. He had every right to make it and hopefully found it healing. It has also prompted further valuable discussion.

There are many people including yourself saying Terry should got involved and discussed it. I go back to a previous point I made about how surely this would be an impossible situation for him as he gave evidence in a court of law that events had occurred as he said, he also gave that account in interview to the FA. If he suddenly publicly started saying these were lies and  tearfully apologising to AF, couldn’t it leave him open to further charges?  Or he sticks to the original story in which case what would be the point of any meeting?

Genuine question, what would you expect him to say that wouldn’t open up a whole further can of worms?  Surely it would be better to strive to improve himself going forward. I’m not supporting him in this, I just think it is not so simple as having a cathartic chat about it when it has been subject to legal proceedings.

Whatever can of worms it would open he should understand his faults, pad up and do his time. If he genuinely believes the story he told in court he can still speak up while stating his story is true. It is worth remembering that Ferdinand says he never heard it said, as much as I doubt it JT's story could be completely true and it is one big misunderstanding. Being silent is not an option.

  7. For anybody who hasn't seen it, please watch the documentary on iPlayer. As somebody closely affiliated with our club, I really hope John Terry doesn't stay silent on this. Seeing the aftermath of the incident and how it affected Ferdinand at the very least deserves Terry to speak out and try to provide a valuable lesson for others.

I must be part of the problem then because I think he is making the most of what happened for reasons other than ‘creating awareness’. I could obviously be wrong about that though.

    Dont blame him though.

Is he trying to promote the documentary? Yes. Will the documentary raise awareness? Yes.

No, please do not quote me and then completely ignore the most important part of my post.

I've never racially abused anyone in my life, nor would I ever.  Nor do I condone anyone else doing it.  If I'm part of the problem then the world really is f**ked.

You said people raising their eyebrows, the "you're" was not in reference to you personally, but to anybody with that mindset. Sorry mate.

AF is entitled to feel upset about it but why does he need to dredge it up in the media?  I think that's what's raising most peoples eyebrows.

Talking about the way he felt and still feels after being a victim of racism at work is raising people's eyebrows? I promise you, if this raises your eyebrows, you're part of the problem. I really cannot fathom how people think these things should just be brushed under the carpet, or how people act confused and ask "why now?". Does racism still exist in the game and out of it? Yes it does, heavily, so sadly these conversations are still very much of relevance. I personally feel JT could have sat down with Anton, spoke about this man to man for the world to see and show a real example of him understanding what he did wrong and how he and society on a whole can move forward in a better manner. The more these issues are ignored or expected to be forgotten after a few years, the more they will continue on.

    Here we go..

Wish they would just move on from it. JT has moved on and learned from it, and is certainly no racist. I don't see a reason to bring back a 15+ year old case and dwell on it.

I'll quote the movie Frozen. Let it go, let it go

Not being funny mate but it doesn't really matter if you feel there is no reason, or any of us actually. Anton Ferdinand feels the way he does, that is up to him, and regardless of JT deciding he wants to move on or not it has no bearing on whether Ferdinand feels aggrieved about being called a "black word removed" while at work.
