  1. La Liga will be desperate to keep Messi in the league, he's such a massive reason people tune into that league and it would be a huge blow to lose him. That said it's possibly move anyway once his contract is up anyway. Not even in today's game can I see a club pay 700 million euros when they can get him free at some point.

I'll be honest, the whole thing seemed like a political move to me from Messi to get changes to happen at Barca but reading more into it it seems like Messi wants to leave. As a pure football fan, I'd love to see him in the Premiership.

  2. Messi won't leave Barcelona. This is just a political move to get changes to happen at the club because clearly something is wrong there. That said, I find the whole reaction to this to be somewhat hilarious.

I would love to see Messi in the Premier League though. I just don't think it'll happen.

  3. I know a lot of folks think Southgate as some personal issue with Jack and I can't help but think they might be right. Baffling he hasn't been selected again. At this point Jack needs to keep his head focused on Villa until Southgate get's sacked (which will happen eventually) and see who replaces him.

The England setup is a utter joke in general though.

I guess the Mbappe deal wont happen now, but with bruce still there I guess he will be given a few quid to build his team to play attacking football

    Elmohammady and Conor wickham incoming

I honestly thought they were all joking about that, but so many of them were being serious about signing Mbappe. Not sure what planet they were living on. 😃

  5. I imagine 80 million is the very minimum to even get Villa to the negotiation table. Sounds like United might be cooling their interest with Sancho their main interest, probably think they can get him for cheaper.

It now looks unlikely United will try to sign Grealish in this transfer window, even though Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a big admirer of the Aston Villa captain.

Premier League survival means the cost for any club wanting to buy Grealish from Villa has increased significantly.

  6. Not gonna lie, pretty damn happy about this. His recruitment as been below average at the very best, at the cost of a lot of money. Was hoping something like this might happen over the break. Wait and see whose bought in to replace him. Still, good news in my opinion.

  7. Roy Keane is an sad little man, his life must be bloody miserable. It's like he's got 24/7 depression. Couldn't stand watching him as a player and can't stand to hear his so called "expert" opinions. Miserable git.
