  1. The women at work have been talking about the John Lewis advert saying it's about a man that lives on his own and to get the tissues out.

I made a joke about not wanking to old lonely men on the telly which I found tremendously funny but apparently was too far for the rest of them.

how could they not find that funny  ..... I bet they are all lesbian feminists

Some people just don't get my #legendaryladbantz

  2. The team closest to me did quite well a couple of years ago out of wolves being relegated. My understanding is there was a WWFC corporate sponsor with a box at the Custard Bowl who got completely fed up watching them lose that he took his sponsorship money and invested it an 8th tier team, AFC Wulfrunians. I've heard that from another fan so not sure of the accuracy but no reason to doubt it, they definitely had the biggest boards around the pitch.

Without bringing this back to Villa, I've had a lot more enjoyment going down to AFCW over the last few years than I have going to VP. Five quid in, cans at the bar for a couple of quid, nearly always a highly competitive game being played. We went to watch them at Shepshed last season on the Non League Day and that was a good example of what it could be too, good facilities, good crowd, although my understanding is Shepshed were on their way down the leagues as we were going up.

Credit to AFCW too as they do a lot around the community, and also host the England ladies (I think) and schoolboys for some games.

All the best with it mate, very interested in hearing how you get on, if I had another zero on the end of the ISA balance I'd like to think I'd be looking at such a fantastic and exciting opportunity too.

  3. And don't forget the psychological battle with yourself, if you push too hard because you've tried to go from 5k to 10k overnight and get injured, the two/three/four weeks off from running will be devastating (in my experience) to your confidence next time you go out. It's hard to start again and find yourself not achieving what you could do before. Earlier this year I got to 11 miles, I had to stop because of an injury and the thought of going out now fills me with dread because I know how far behind I am again

  4. So, as I said I started the Couch to 5K a month ago, and tonight I ran for 5.1K.  This may be my last post ever as I'm about to keel over and die, but for the next few seconds before that happens, I feel pretty chuffed with myself.

Fantastic mate well done, the buzz of reaching a milestone like that is simply amazing, incredibly pleased for you.

  5. Definitely not the type of girl to invite round your parents for Sunday lunch. She;d be making cock jokes before trying to toss you off under the table. Ahhh Rita!
Sunday lunch round your parents' must really be something to write home about if you'd turn that kind of thing down! [emoji4]

Xela Snr does the roasties in goose fat I reckon

  6. I havent told this girl I have been engaged, I think wait and see where it goes before telling her. You think this is right course of action?

Tell her when it comes up in conversation.Don't lie about it. But there's no need to just bring it up. That would be weird.

Lie, lie and lie again. Never tell them the truth! They're only out to hurt you and steal from you. I go as far to tell her you're a virgin still. Give her a blank canvas to work with.

I think the best advice anyone can get from this thread is to not listen to Mr. Pong under any circumstances.[emoji6]

  8. *Sigh* First Iggy Pop, then Al Pacino, Harvey Keitel, and now Willem Dafoe. I used to like and respect them all, and enjoyed their work. Now they're selling me car insurance, satellite TV, more car insurance, and broadband.

"Here's the deal, folks: You do a commercial, you're off the artistic roll call, forever. End of story. Okay? You're a corporate ******* shill, you're another whore at the capitalist gang-bang, and if you do a commercial, there's a price on your head, everything you say is suspect, and every word that comes out of your mouth is now like a turd falling into my drink."

    And Lenny Henry

  9. Similar to what I have, really. I've got i5-2500k and GTX 970 (don't really know why.. I don't need it. I convinced my self somehow). You had no issues at all? That's not bad for a first attempt. There's always something that goes wrong for me.

I recently got a new monitor. Don't make the same mistake as I did and get a "large" 2560x1440. I thought the resolution would be okay as I was going from a 22" to a 25", but it's just slightly wider than my old one. Now everything is tiny, and not every software gives you the option of increasing the size of user interface, like all the ones I use for my work [emoji4]

Only problem I had was I plugged the optional cpu fan instead of the main one first time around, that was it, I'll be honest I was surprised myself how easy it was, maybe beginners luck? :)

I'm gonna have to put some research into the monitor I think, the screen I'm using now isn't as bad as I thought it might be but not ideal.

  10. The French lads must have organised a revolt or something for them to not be in the team.

    Shambolic from K Mac.

I thought this too, there's a something peculiar about the French thing going on, thought this before the starting eleven today. Is there a Anglo-Francais divide in the dressing room? There's no way he thought that XI was his best, absolutely not a chance

  11. Knew he would cost us a goal as soon as I saw his name on the team sheet. He is utter utter utter shite.

How many times have we seen him make that mistake, getting too tight and being rolled.

He never learns, absolutely woeful player.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this, pathetic attempt at defending, most over rated player I've even known at the villa. Made his name off THAT tackle and that's it, absolute garbage
