The latest package of tv rights is set to sell for £4.5billion, a 45% increase on the last tv deal

Wonder if that is enough to tempt any potential buyers

i Have a feeling it will be more like £5-6 billion, sky will be scared having lost champions league football, would meen £100million+ a season, add into that discovery have plenty of clout and now own espn and google wanting some sport on prime. Even the poorest prem club would be in top 30 richest clubs in world

    like so

  4. We did quite well I thought, dropping Benteke proved to be a good idea - Gabby looked livelier than in recent games, Weimann's effort was a help to the cause and Gil continued to look bright - it's probably worth noting that none of those three really looked like scoring though.

Delph and Westwood held their own against one of the best drilled midfields in world football - contract Cleverley worked hard and tried to fit in too.

Back four looked pretty solid and I thought Cissokho had a better game - Clark was excellent and Okore can be forgiven anything in the game for having scored one of them goal things that the other teams do.

Overall I didn't think we did badly - I'd leave Benteke on the bench for the Hull game as he didn't show any greater urgency when he came on, I'd leave Sinclair there too and I'd write a very strongly worded letter to Manchester United asking if we could not start Cleverley in a game please, pretty please sir.

Chelsea's cynicism is an embarrassment to all of football - demonstrated most ably I think by the incident a few minutes from time when on the half way line one of their players put the ball out of play so that one of their players could have treatment for an injury. Captain Terry looked up and realised that nobody had suffered an injury yet, so immediately went down, Azpilecueta clearly hadn't spotted him, so he went down too, near to the touchline. Hutton clearly felt this was an imposition and attempted to take the throw in quickly in order to demonstrate the dubious nature of the injuries. The ref was never going to let him do that and stopped play. He was then harangued for not booking Hutton for his cheek by John Terry who had risen Lazarus-style and sprinted 30 yards to ensure his voice was heard. It all seemed to be too much for Obi Mikkel who appeared to faint and went down requiring treatment. They were shocking today, truly embarrassing and I think it's days like this where the FA should be looking at issuing fines for failing to control players - something needs to be done about it for the sake of the game. Personally I'd like to see us take rugby's lead and let the game go on whilst players are treated, stopping the need for a break in play. In the meantime, I think you'll join me in offering a prayer for those eight or nine Chelsea players that were seriously injured in the final few minutes - we can only hope they will go on to play again.

John Terry on the other hand, I'll be happy to never see put on a pair of boots again in his life, this vile excuse for humanity is a disgrace to his profession and I'd imagine even a pair of criminals like his parents can't help but feel a little bit ashamed when they watch him play. I think it's fair to warn them in advance that I intend to retaliate to his winding up of the Holte End after the final whistle by attending his funeral dressed as a clown and honking my comedy horn throughout the service for my own amusement. I don't like him and I don't know anyone that does.

So, there you have it, we've lost to Chelsea and I'm angry - as a gauge of our performance I think that's as good an indicator as any that we did pretty well.

stolen the john terry part for facebook :)

  5. i can understand the 3 changes over last 2 games Cleverley i`m afraid has been better than sanchez, bentekke not interested and cissohko in too is a good call.

the cleverley hate band wagon will roll on though.

If he wheres a villa shirt then he will get my full backing not my hate

    Sound logic!

  7. After the Arsenal game i gotta admit my first reaction was omg get rid of lambert right now. but then i think yeah say we get pullis in here........omg then people will be claiming compo for the sore neck they will get with the hoofball. what long throw specialist will he buy ??    i don`t want that kinda manager.

We really are struggling but i can allso see the class of players Lambert has brought for peanuts in todays crazy inflated prices. If these players could just click we have a real good team. Really hope Lambert can do it cos he is the one who Brought them here

I allso think the problem is with the players themselves too, they need to give that extra 10% and come off the field fooked, when i played i got fookall money but i made sure i had gave my all and was fooked when i came off

  8. I have no idea what this man has to do to get sacked!!! It's gone beyond the point of ridiculous now, like others have said we have now missed the opportunity to get other available managers in with Moyes,Pullis and Pardew all taking up roles with other teams and it looks as if Sherwood may go to QPR.

I have become sick and tired of the club and all that goes with it, I no longer bother to watch any of the games and only look for the results on Monday morning when I come into work, thats how much I dislike what Lambert is doing to Aston Villa, he simply has no place at this club.

dunno why people mention pullis has a manager, even stoke fans turned on him cos of his brand of football

    ---------------Gabby---------------------

  10. Tbf, gabby wouldn't have been a bad shout in this one. He's got a good record against them.

Can't see us getting anything out of this game with our line up. Shame.

said he has a hamstring injury on the stream i am watching atm

some have a witch hunt on cleverley and he is totally to blame for all goals we conceded and cos we don`t score any..and want to swap him for westwood in the team..i like westwood but they are similar players in just doing the simple pass etc trying to keep things ticking over.

Cleverley like some have already said did nothing wrong in last game to deserve dropping,if he had a mare yeah sure drop him.

I remember the same thing happening in Petrovs first season here,

Where has this silly myth come from that Cleverley and Westwood are similar players? And that they both keep it 'ticking over'?

Yes, Westwood keeps it 'ticking over' but Cleverley doesn't. He does nothing. Absolutely nothing. If I was Westwood and someone told me I was similar to Tom Cleverley, I'd be seriously offended.

How many goals / assists has TC got for us this season?

Richardson has the same amount of assists has Westwood and 1 less than Insomnia. none of the side is producing enough.. i am just unwilling to blame it on one player

I quite like Murray though, i like that he don`t give up on points.

Can`t stand djokovic, simply because he has to use spoiler tactics when he is struggling,Allso a fully fit Nadal is the best player on tour... IMO
