Dunno mate but maybe he has become "Inspired" to return? :detect:

😂 very good but sorry to disappoint. I definitely can’t match those lofty standards

I like but that’s a bit of a stretch surely? Unless I’m missing something.

Could well be just found it interesting. Just to be clear I’m far from ITK, just found the location and timing with recent social media stuff interesting. Probably a coincidence but it’s not a “regular” destination for general aviation from here

Love that kind of detective work but Rashica was definitely in training today with Bremen... (pause at 12 seconds)

Could maybe be his agent flying in though?

Managed to have a look at the arrival, was actually in this morning and yes didn’t look like rashica, carrying more timber shall we say. Any detectives know what his agents look like?

What do you imagine happens in that bit in bold that makes him a bottle job? I mean, does he bottle wanting to play so he pretends to have an injury? I don't get it. And the manger is OK with that? I don't believe this scenario exists.

Anyway, yeah I forgot about Konsa at RB. I was OK with him there—I think  Guilbert is OK and has potential, but I think he goes missing big time on the ball when we're under pressure (his tackling is OK, if a bit last-gasp). He might grow out of that with more experience and in a better team. In contrast, Targett is comfortable on the ball and I'd argue is one of the few players who doesn't bottle it. He's got Premier League quality and he's the least of our problems. Just look at his chance-created stat. He might be lacking a bit of pace, but he's not slow. He's just not lightning quick. He's also been an integral part to one of the better defences (statistically, based on the screenshot on some other thread) since the lockdown. He's a good player.

Highlighted was my impression yes. To me when the going gets tough he seems to get going. Pretty sure there were two such occasions this season where he came off injured and was fit the following week. Can’t remember the games off the top of my head, wolves away was one I believe.

to clarify I don’t mind him as a footballer, very good left foot and good going forward but I definitely wouldn’t turn down an improvement there just based on my perception of the mental side of his game, which in fairness just could be my incorrect perception. Maybe I’m being harsh

LB is low priority. I'd be surprised.  W, ST, W, MF, RB are the most pressing.

You see I think it’s the other way around. Targett has been a bit of a liability defensively and dare I say a bottle job from time to time, going off injured only to play the following weekend.

Konsa looked good as a right back and a full season there could do wonders for his development. Have guilbert as a back up and bring in a commanding centre back to play alongside mings and we will be solid if nothing else which has been an issue.

Targett gives cover at LB and dare I say LW? Wouldn’t be the worst move ever

We always sat these things, but what happens if Jack is ever injured or suspended, or just out of form?

    We also have cups etc.

Strangely, I still feel our fanbase are scared of competition.

We need good players for ALL our positions, and this might even make Jack raise his game even furhte.r

I agree regarding the fear of competition.

With that being said there’s also nothing to say we couldn’t have the three of them in the same team behind a striker too.

All dependant on Brentford’s playoff performance mind you. I doubt we will move for a winger before that has been decided, Dean in my opinion will bend over backwards to get the lad Benrahma in having worked with him before. He’s got form for taking players with him hasn’t he

Could they play in he same team?

I’d say yes. More athletic for a start and releases the ball a bit quicker than jack, would be a good variation between the two of them. Both are great central and like drifting to the left so they could interchange and swap position between LW and LCM all game. Would be uncomfortable for opposing RBs to say the least I think

Aarons from Norwich is an obvious choice but will be expensive despite relegation.

Personally, I hope we’re looking Jayden Bogle from Derby.  Would be a great addition.

On the other side, Antonee Robinson or Rico Henry would really add competition for Targett.

Probably expensive and would have many suitors I imagine but Dumfries at PSV is it I think. Got everything to be a very good PL RB

Not a fan of all the Wilson talk in here. I think he’s very overrated. Contributed very little this season, and missed some big chances in their games towards the end of the season from what I saw.

If we’re splashing out on an English striker it’s got to be Tammy. Younger, knows the club, and bagged 15 league goals last season, with a much higher ceiling. Plus if he comes in it increases the chances Grealish stays.

    I agree, injury prone too

  10. In my opinion his touch looked poor on a good few occasions there.

always hard to tell with ones so young but at a comparable age Crowley for example looked better to me and he hasn’t set the world on fire.

All being said hope he turns out great, looks like he moves well with the ball for a bigger lad which can be a rare commodity I guess

  11. Van Gaal. Call me mental but if the owners are as ambitious as they say they need to be bending over backwards and offering the world to guys like this. FFP will be **** off for the next few years, give him a China style contract and wave our balls around in the championship like Newcastle did with Rafa.

Builds a system and style, promotes youth. Typically leaves a team in a better state than he took over in.

Rafa would have been viewed as impossible when he went to Newcastle, they were right in a mess when he took over. Had the extra games prior to relegation to create a system and style, work out who fit and rolled that on into the championship season and walked it. Pay mediocre and get mediocre. Pay cheap buy twice and all that. Let’s go for it this time ffs

I’ll keep an eye out that’s the best I can offer 😂
