    Regardless.

A bad attitude in a player is a big red flag when buying players.

I’m guessing Terry probably has a better knowledge and understanding of his temperament than yourself and the Lyon fans my friend

What is the reason he has not progressed more as a player, and is more attractive for clubs right now?

If it's the case he has got problems with his attitude and is lacking dedication on the training field, that's a big argument for not buying him...

Mark Delaney had a great attitude and showed dedication beyond many I’ve seen.

Why didn’t he progress further than us

Wasn't good personalities and characters so important for Smith?

According to Lyon fans this guy has got attitude problems. Not much of this signing makes sense.

Said Benrahma who had 17 goals and 9 assist last season is available and has been all summer. And we choose to pay 19 million for this guy?

Watkins was a great start and 2 steps forward for the club. We are taking 2 steps backwards with this signing.

You probably thought Jordan Ayew had attitude problems.

    He’s turned out ok elsewhere

Like he's gotten a tune out of El Ghazi and Trezeguet?

    I'm afraid you can't polish a turd.

I’m not sure what you expected from El Ghazi and what you thought/think dean hasn’t extracted from him performance wise, looked average in the championship with 3/4 good games and was a bargain bin buy.

Trezeguet hardly broke the bank either and performed reasonably well during the run in although admittedly didn’t set the world alight.

Look is Traoré perfect? Far from it but he fills a need. An athletic lefty to cut in from the right within the structure of a budget. IF (big if) sticking that budget allows us to get this guy AND rashica surely this is a good deal.

Saw the benefit of jota in the team from the right on occasions last year but he don’t have the athleticism for this league, we all know that. How many other athletic left footed right siders with a decent level of ability will you get for £19 million in today’s market? I’d argue not many. Now if this was the only wide player we signed I’d agree this signing would be a tad on the underwhelming side but I see the sense behind it if it allows us to get the likes of a rashica too.

Of the players we've been linked with this transfer window, most of the opinions have been positive. This is the main one where there has been more negativity.

Oh we are narrowing it down to this window? Sorry, my bad

Burnley didn't pay 19 million for Westwood to be fair.

If they did i'm sure there would have been an uproar.

Well no. But they paid 5 million in Jan 2017 before the neymar transfer blew the whole market up, from a championship Aston Villa who had months previously been relegated with one of the worst points totals in history. I also believe Westwood couldn’t get in our team at the time for one reason or another? Could be wrong on that mind you

Oh and also came from a club who’s fan base thought he was a human crab

You don't get pacy, strong forwards who are consistent for sub £20m from a top European club these days.  It just isn't a thing.  The reason he comes to us for that price is because his game isn't perfect and it's something we need to harnass.

If we can get the best out of him, he'll be an incredibly exciting player.

    Correct.

But sorry I’m forgetting the Lyon fans also said he’s shit... call it off

I wonder did Burnley fans throw a childish tantrum when Westwood was linked or did Fiorentina want the sports director fired when they got Veretout

I genuinely do wonder if it’s just a villa problem, nuts at times

Many Villa fans were happy to see the back of Geuye, Westwood of course, Veretout, Amavi, Gollini etc. They've since become pretty respected players.

Not saying that he'll be a success or anything close to someone like Geuye but sometimes players thrive in different environments. Must admit though this is a bit of strange one.

    Correct

Don’t mate, Rashica had 196 pages of comments......don’t start another one.

Besides, I’d genuinely prefer Michael Obafemi as a wide forward than Bernardeschi.....looks like he gets himself tied in knots, goes gown blind alleys.

I know mate 😂 it’s why I was hesitant but for what it’s worth it did at least *appear* to be him

Dean likes a left footer on the right allegedly doesn’t he?

As you correctly said, could be for Wolves, Leicester.

Torino also play in Serie A, so not necessarily Juve.

Could well have been ex Chelsea player Ola Aina who plays at RB for Torino.

Others will speculate on Andrea Belotti but I doubt it. Italians generally haven’t travel well to the PL over the last 15-20 years.

Yeah agree with all that was said.

Looked at both Juve and Torino squad pictures and it looked like a certain Juve winger, definitely wasn’t belotti or aina, that I’m certain of

  12. This juventus thing is interesting.

I posted the other day about a private Turin arrival at BHX, from a distance and please take this with a pinch of salt but it looked like it could have been one of their players.

As pie in the sky as it seems with that geezer on Twitter there could be an element of truth.

Could also be flying in to go and visit our premier league neighbours too 🤷🏻‍♂️
