Can anyone recap the last two days events for me.  Do not want to scroll back through a mountain of pages.

I may be in a minority of one, but I'd actually like to see Lambert given a chance with a bit of money to spend. He has worked miracles to keep this club in the premier league with 22 year old league one players, and I can't help but feel that for a load of major injuries this season we'd be comfortably mid-table, which I'd be happy with given the circumstances. 

 

Get some new owners in, give Lambert a bit of money to add quality rather than quantity to the squad and let's see where we go from there.

I'm with you on this one.  I want Lambert to stay on and be backed substantially just to see if he is capable of unearthing another couple of gems.  You have to admit he signed some decent players with good potential, Westwood, Bacuna, Okore even Kozak to an extent.  We all know about Benteke as well.  Every manager has signed duds and Lambert is no different - hell SAF signed Taibi, Djemba Djemba, Veron, Kleberson and Forlan just off the top off my head who flopped.  But lets see what the next few weeks brings us.

So that begs the question, does Lambert go ahead and plan for the forthcoming season or does he take a back seat knowing he could be out on his ass in a few weeks?

 

So Lambert stays for the time being.

He cant do much more damage to AVFC at the moment cause the seasons over but I hope he is gone long before the new season starts.

 

It wasn't a dig at Lerner for not pulling the trigger straight away.  If anything I have been supportive of Lambert until recently.  There was hope in the back of my mind that  a new owner would keep him on and back him which Lerner hadn't done but now I'm not so sure.

So Lambert stays for the time being.

94 from a personal point of view as Ireland were in it. That goal against Italy from Houghton, Aldridge losing the plot at the lino, the severe heat. It seemed Ireland were playing at home from home fantastic support. I did like 98 though as I remember it better I was 12. Watched the final in Spain and seen a load of English wreck a bar but the local police took no crap lol

On the plus side he seems to have put a bit of muscle on which might hold him good stead if he gets regular games. Welcome back Joe.

And that's that.  So we go with what we have.  Bertrand a step up in what we have and Holt is a decent targetman to throw on for last 20mins of games who can bully a few defenders and hopefully chip in with a few goals.  Disappointing window but **** all we can do about it.  Cheer the lads on and hopefully the summer will be better.

Well if they don't give us what we want then they can jog on and he can spend the season with the reserves and see if he enjoys his World cup next summer.
