With Freddie as a starter and Elmo as back up, not concerned with the right back position. It's left back that's more concerning as Targets back up is Taylor. Freddie has been shaky at times but a new league, new language etc its understandable. Think he'll turn out to be a great player next year though does have the odd mistake in him (though everyone does).

Did anyone go in the club shop to get it? Were you able to try on (and then presume they take them off the shelf)? Didn't get one last year as wasn't a big fan of any design but not sure what size i am in kappa.

Now if this turns out to be the 3rd strip then they need to have plenty in stock
Think that's based on the kit the women played in against Arsenal but i think that was just a training top. Doubt they would have let them play in a kit before they announced it

Solid again. Now i'm fuming we weren't playing him before just to get Hause on the pitch

At least he tries, which is more than i can say for a lot of the team

I've gone for the money back. No idea how long it will be till we can get back to the ground and the club can't sell a ST ticket for next year not knowing how many games we can attend. I will renew when we know more but for now, i need the money back.

Not sure if this has been mentioned but I find it a little strange how Jack hasn't posted anything to do with the whole #PlayersTogether thing considering a number of other first team players have and he's the captain.
He posted it on his instagram story

There's about 2,500 tickets left and i doubt they've held any blocks back. Be interesting to see how many more go in the next week before it goes to 8 games

Got a seat in 137. Good thing about being a ST holder by myself is not having to find seats together

The AVFC twitter account aren't exactly tweeting every bit of news about the women's team, just the big stuff. The women 's team are top of the league and doing amazing. They deserve the odd boost from the official account

Do you think ST holders will be guaranteed a ticket?

Fantastic. Distribution was first class.

Great result last night. Liverpool aren't the team they once were but still a great win. Get strike by Emma Follis for the first goal too

Most retailers at least have the decency to take payment on dispatch.
It's a good job there's so much good will towards the club for what's going on with the playing side, because the boring part of the ticket office and club shop is run like a **** corner shop.
Thats what had irked me the most and i said over the phone they shouldn't take money until its been dispatched. The only reason i ordered 2 shirts was as the sizes are so odd this year i was planning to take one back but being £110 out of pocket for nearly 3 weeks with no idea when they'll even send it is shocking. Really disappointed in Villa this year over this. I hope they are better prepared next season.
-
I've just rang them to cancel my order. They've taken £110 out of my account for 2 women's shirts which were supposed to be delivered from 5th September but had no update about it. They said they have no date as to when the shirts will be back in stock either yet had no problem taking the money. Its a farce. First time since i was about 7 i've not had a new shirt but I've given up now.
-
The only women's shirts they've had in stock in store for either home or away for the last month has been XS which looking at it, i doubt will fit a small child. 3 visits in and I almost gave up and just got a mens shirt but the home shirt looked awful on the shoulders and the exact same size in the away was too tight and they didn't have the next size up. Kappa is a joke and no idea if i'll even bother with one now.

Enjoyed the Daniel James goal today. With what he's been through the last few months i thought it was a nice moment. Echo comments about Sterling too

When is the away kit actually available in the club shop? Want to see it in the flesh before i decide home or away.
-
Getting back on topic, I'm excited that the new owners want to push the women's team further. Its wrong seeing Small Heath have a better team than us (though they seem to be collapsing these last few weeks with player departures) and i want us to be the dominant force in Midlands football in the women game like we are the mens.

It’s getting ridiculous now with all this women’s sport(especially football) being rammed down our throats. I’m just waiting on a time when they have mixed teams . The day that happens I’m out.
I know. Women playing sport. Whatever next

The women's game has grown massively in the last few years and with it, the quality is improving. I do admit, the goalkeeping has always been the weakest aspect of the game, but you can't knock some of the outfield play. Over time, this will only improve further but it has to be given the chance to grow, rather than have men just moan women should get back in the kitchen (i have to hope these men don't have daughters)
Will it ever be on par with the men's game? Most likely not, but Serena Williams would get likely beaten by a man barely in the top 100 rankings. That doesn't mean Serena is not still great to watch or that she is inferior to her male counterparts.
In regards to pay, of course they don't bring in the revenue to earn anywhere near to the men, but in defence of the USA women's team, they do actually win World Cup's and the Olympic's so are a lot more successful than the men. The women's game is actually bigger than the men's over there so i can understand why they complain about that based on both points.
While people knock the quality of football played, at least you are watching people play for the love of the game rather than the money. The lack of diving and rolling around like they've been shot if they get tackled is also refreshing.
I write this as a woman (we do exist on football forums).

Just saw that 8 tickets popped up in 143, as soon as I tried to add any it said event no longer for sale but when I checked on select seats, there were still 3 or 4 on there - I think that pretty much confirms that 3+ booking history is required still
Same thing that happens to me every time I try to add to my basket. Damn the PL semi final not counting otherwise I'd be there rather than in a pub at home now

I just saw 4 tickets come up but it wouldn't let me add it to my basket. I'm 2 references plus semi home leg so obviously they are keeping it at 3+. Gutted

Went and picked up the away shirt this morning from the shop. £6 for one PL badge. Shocking. Kit is beautiful though i have to say
