  1. It'll take years for womens football to develop. I'm in my early 30's and we had a girls football team when i was in year 9 for half a year, entered one tournament then that PE teacher left and the team was cancelled. As rightfully pointed out, women were banned by men for playing for years . The misogynistic comments whenever a women's football article is posted on twitter likely puts some girls off getting into the game too. The game has developed so much in the last 10 years and it will in the next 10 years.

  2. Practically a carbon copy of the Bristol goal. I think we're down. I can see Bristol getting a win at Brighton and i can't see us getting anything the last 2 games. The players mentality will be ruined

But we need to see progression every season in order to keep them.

This is why we lost the likes of Milner and Barry in the past. We just couldn't get over the line and match their ambitions.

I agree but people are worried about him leaving this summer and i just can't see it. If next season there's no progression, then that's a worry for the following summer

  4. Emi has often said he wants to repay the trust Villa showed him. I can't see him wanting to leave after 1 year even if we do miss out on Europe. These players know we're building something

Bristol City beat Reading 3-2. Not good for us, now just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Really bad result for us. Ebony Salmon is such a talent (as we well know)

  6. Does anyone know what our longest losing streak at home is? Even with how crap we were in the PL before we were relegated, we used to at least get the odd draw here and there

  7. Blues were a very good team until the last couple of years as the womens game has stepped up financially and they can't compete with that now.

I actually went to see them in a Champions League Quarter Final the other year (of course cheering on the other team)

woman is dead, a civilian. Presumably one of the protesters. Charitably one could consider her to be a tragically misguided moron. Hopefully not one of the employees.

    blood on trumps hands though

Video came up on twitter. Bunch of them breaking windows on a set of lock doors and smashing it in. She was the first to try and climb through and got shot, presumably by Capitol Security.

  9. For me the only team i truly hate with a passion is Small Heath

Wolves i want to beat when we play them but not bothered about their other results. Good for WMids football for them to do well.

WBA i have some family that love to stick it when they beat us/are doing better than us but have been quite these last few years. For that reason i'd like them to go down and hate losing to them but they come no where near the small heath result. If baggies beat us i'll be pissed for about an hour. If Blues beat us i'll be pissed the rest of my life

Teams like Leeds/Newcastle i personally have no problem with but as their fans seem to have a massive issue with us, i like to beat them more so then a team like West Ham/Crystal Palace etc but then again, losing to them is just a loss at the end of the day.

  10. I love the guy but lets be real, if City come back in for him, he's gone. He probably views his 2 years at Villa as showcasing to City why he should start for them, or another top European club. Look at his brothers tweet in the summer when we believed City had activated the clause. I'm sure he does love it here and doubt he would leave us for a sideways move like Everton/West Ham (post clause) but yeah, if City activate it, i think he'll go

Theres comparison in a lot of sports. Have you not been paying attention to the equal pay conversation happening in athletics?

Also who is saying Serena doesn’t deserve her titles/ sponsorships?

Not to the same extent. You don't hear much about women not running the 100m as fast as men/jumping as high as much as women can't play football as an U15's boys team can beat them. Whenever women's football is on tv or Villa (as an examples) men's account tweets about the women team, its full of comments saying it's rubbish, worse then kids etc etc. The women's US team (who actually produce more revenue than the mens team) were slaughtered when they tried to demand equal pay. Women's football gets more c**p about it than any other sport. That's why i mentioned Serena. No one would say she didn't deserve what she had, despite the fact a lot of male players would beat her, which seems to be the argument over women football (men are better at the sport than women). And no , i would never expect women to get paid £35k a week with where their game is at the moment but the point stands, doesn't matter if a U15 team would beat them or not....they are not competing against men

A few years back an U15s boys team easily beat the US Women’s National team in a scrimmage.

Women don't play against men in most sports. Why is there only comparison in football?? Most male tennis players would probably beat Serena Williams. Does that mean she doesn't deserve her grand slam titles or sponsorship deals???
