15th place with no improvement. **** off Lambert.
-
Voted for none of the above even though Delph was the pick of an awful bunch.
Really the worst season I can remember for a very long time as a Villa supporter and hopefully the perpetrators of that will be gone in a week or two.
-
It wasn't the coaches fault that we're shit then.
Unmotivated players playing this badly can mean only one thing. The manager is going and they know it.
-
Pin point from Westwood again.
-
We can be thankful that we played a Hull team with their mind on the Cup Final.

This is a shameful performance. On a par with the team under Mcleish.
-
Lambert now trying to save his reputation with that sub.
-
Bound to be someone out there.Anyone still backing Lambert's plan?
There you have it.
If the alternatives are Pulis, Di MAtteo, Moyes and Fat sam, then YESAnyone still backing Lambert's plan?

Just as well for Lambert we aren't playing at home. He would need an escort along with his suitcase.
-
Lambert get the **** out of my club now and take your shite signings with you. So **** angry and have had enough of this shit.
-
Spurs have looked pretty inept going forward against other teams then they play against us.
-
-
Good chance there for us.
-
Should have been two. We are making Spurs look like Brazil.
-
It was coming. Our midfield is none existent defensively and therefore far too easy to play through.
-
You sell Westwood or keep him as a squad player and reconstruct our midfield with a strong defensive midfielder, Delph as the box to box player and purchase that attacking midfielder we all want.
Westwood is not good enough to be defined as any of those.

If he leaves he will follow in the same tradition as the rest of those managers who have left our club.I really like Paul Lambert. My head thinks he should go, my heart thinks he should stay. The results at the end of the season were nothing short of awful, but I just really really like the man. Such a shame things are ending this way.
I think he will go on to be a success at another club.
Simply not good enough and like most managers of limited ability has been found out at a bigger club.
-
Totally agree HanoiVilan.
He is a much better manager now than he was with England and I just think the England job came too soon for him. What I admire most about him is that he took himself away after failing with England and rebuilt his reputation in Europe.
The difficulty is though that I think he will promote Derby through the play offs and won't be available unless someone pays Derby substantial compensation to get him. Even then he might want to stick with Derby for a season through loyalty.
If Lerner is still at the club next season then I can't see him forking out yet more compensation for managers if Lambert is sacked while also considering previous managerial compensation and if Moyes is still available.

That last sentence is a very good point in that if it is the case then why purchase players who do not fit the system?Could become the same type of player Barry has. He would look a lot better if he had more options in front of him instead of KEA and Delph just right next to him all the time. The way we play makes a lot of our players look poor.
Westwood is no better than Bannan and if we are taken over I do not see him being here beyond next season.
-
Voted for Derby as i like the way McClaren has them playing but with a hint of sadness as if they do come up then we've probably little or no chance of getting McClaren as our manager.

Which Manager is better placed than Paul Lambert to knows what's actually needed to move us forward?
Let's not go back to first base all over again.
The problem is though we have been stuck on first base all season with very little improvement to speak of and his ground work has produced probably the worst squad we've seen at the Villa for a very long time. I don't think he should be allowed to make any further contributions to that. Enough, is enough.
-
I wasn't having a pop, I just meant that nobody really knows which managers would or wouldn't come to Villa. I was just intrigued to know who you thought could come in and play better football than Lambert allowing for the constraints he has worked under.
I hear the "constraints" argument a lot. It simply doesn't wash with me.
I know Lambert has had a limited budget - but what club outside the top 4 doesn't? I don't believe he has got the best out of even this limited squad. I don't see him building anything that resembles a plan in the way we play. In fact, I'd even wager that the football we play now hasn't improved from what we saw when he was still getting to grips with the squad at the beginning of last season.
We don't have the budget to compete with the big boys. We may never have. So we need to play better, smarter football. I don't see anything in the shamozzle of the last 2 seasons that suggests Lambert can do that - even with a bigger budget and more time.
This is the main reason why he has lost my support and why in the main many fans have turned.
Villa boss Paul Lambert on owner Randy Lerner's statement on future of club due next week "I fully intend to be here next season”
Thankfully his intent doesn't mean dog shit. Its up to Lerner.

If we lose at Spurs & both the Boggies & Hull City win simply view the final league table by standing on your head & it will look like we have qualified for the 4th spot in the Champions league.
I wonder has Lambert been doing that all season.

As I've stated elsewhere no improvement from last season and the Lambert project has failed without any further recourse.
