Wesley has been among our best players. We have won 6 with him and 1 without him. We were 7th in goals scored now we are 11th. And Jack hit is run of form after wesley was injured.

I personally think suso gets a bad rap because people are looking for reasons not to blame Smith. 2 of susos players have flopped a bit nakamba and Trez and we didn't by trez for footballing reasons anyway. Smith is the one who signed our defenders, Targett, mings, Konsa, Hause and engels all Smith's signings and it has resulted in the worst defence in the league. Not really suso's fault.

I think Nakamba has been a good signing. Smith just plays rotates him and Hourihane in the complete wrong games.

If he keeps us up on goal difference after scoring a goal off Samatta’s arse in the 95th minute of the final game then he’s done his job.

Yes he’s done a job but I haven’t seen enough to be convinced he’s the right man to take us forward, it’s a difficult decision, thanks for keeping us up dean but goodbye or stick with him and probably have a similar season.

I think if you view it that we have to stay up under any circumstances then he has to go. If the board are that desperate to stay in the league then he should go.

However, I think we’d be better off getting relegated and sticking with Smith for another season. I’m confident of our ability in the championship this time around and I think we’d come back up in a much better position with a settled squad and a settled manager

I agree in that respect with us going back down and keeping him but I think it becomes difficult if he keeps us up, he will achieve his target of keeping us in the premier league but it won’t of been a successful season in my opinion, do we stick with him or go after a more experienced premier league manager and push on or do we chance another season with smith and take our chance he’s learnt and improved?

We will more than likely go into championship again on the back of mass losing run. We've seen before in 2016 that takes time to shift so I'd rather freshen the air if you like. Would be different if we were actually capable of winning some games but still went down.

I hear what your saying but this feels completely different to 2016. We are largely competitive in the league for I’d say 75% of the games back then we were a complete walkover and a shambles.

  5. We either sack Smith now and try and stay up or we accept relegation is inevitable and keep him and give him a chance in the championship again. There is literally no point in sacking him if we’re relegated he’s a good enough championship level manager he’s proved that and the squad should be settled.

Academic but I would disagree. We limited wolves to once goal - but the wolves defence strolled through that game. Other than Norwich I couldn't see us worrying anything.

    We look totally shot.

Yeah I see what your saying but Wolves probably have the best defences in the league. Look it’s not great, we could do with a massive chunk of luck, a controversial penalty or a dodgy OG, but I don’t fear Man U like I used too, Liverpool are at the beach, it’s still doable just don’t down tools yet.

    Really ?

There seemed no shape, no ideas , no spark....

Granted we weren't error strewn and gifting wolves goals. But we were a long , long, way from winning that match.

Yeah I agree we aren’t creating much but it’s not as bad as people are making out. if we played like that against lesser teams like Bournemouth, Saints, Watford away we’d be much higher up and probably safe.

  8. Unfortunately we’re not even playing THAT bad. I mean if we played like we did today earlier in the season we wouldn’t be where we are. If we can get a result against Man U or Liverpool then we could still be in with a shout but we are just relying on others to get beat, it’s never great playing first and losing. Have lost complete faith yet but it’s dwindling.

  9. I think West Ham getting better will rely on Haller coming back? Does anyone know what’s been wrong with him or timeframe? I think us, West Ham and Watford have been a little unlucky all creating chances, it will just come down to luck, a naff deflected goal and 3 points would probably be the difference. Let’s just hope and pray it’s us.

Wolves up next.. Adama Traore will rip us a new one. He always speaks of his shit time at Villa too... Added incentive

Targett was so bad against him in the reverse fixture, it’s a massive gamble but I think I’d genuinely have Taylor mark him. Anyway I did a prediction table thing I had is staying up by 2 points. That was with us and West Ham 1-1 last game and Watford losing to Arsenal away 1-0 to send them down.

  11. If we had that point that was stolen from Us at Crystal Palace we’d be in 16th/17th 😔. Also I can see us picking up more points but we always seem to play teams at the wrong time, I bet when we play arsenal they will have turned a corner for instance.

This is still one of the weirdest signings. I’m just hoping that he’s a sweetener for some super agent and other players, like Mendes did at the start for Wolves.

We didn’t really know or could predict how this season would pan out. Davies wasn’t fit in January, we basically had Samatta, and he was new, if anything happened to him we’d be demanding to know why he didn’t get someone else. He’s a bum on a seat.

Having watched it in real-time Maupay could alter his trajectory but doesn't, he wasn't even running at full pace. He knew what he was doing.

First time see. It today wasn’t as bad as suspected. Probably not even a foul only because it’s a GK.

  14. Passenger. How he let Giroud turn in the box was shocking and sums him up. I don’t care if he can occasionally do a set piece. He’s not good enough at this level and why Smith plays him is beyond me.
