Ok this guy is never going to be Messi, but shipping out a 22 year old is simply stupid. We have done it so many times before. Cahill, Crouch, Davis, etc.

Players peak and become more consistent around 25. (Normally)

Players go in and out of form. Gabby a couple of seasons ago was dire ( and lazy)( class now though)

We need more creativity in the midfield. Right now there is too much pressure on Weimann to create, defend and score goals.

If he could master all three he would be the worlds best player.

One thing he seems to have added to his game is the ability to go past defenders.

The extra cash has paid for his wages and basically he has been playing for free.

I broke a leg once. Not my fault though. Crazy challenge from the player and he ended up breaking his leg, slamming it on my knee.

This is bad news, shame for Kozak. I suppose the whole team are upset about this.

I don't know how good Defour is but I like the idea of having a few Belgians in our team and buying a few of their talented 18 year olds. They are really producing good young players.

Ronaldhino would soon get back into shape with us- running around chasing the ball for 70% of the game.

Just re reading this thread again - are we forever limited to paying wages only up to £30k ?

 

If so it would seem unlikley that Delph will sign a new deal - and the chances of any experienced players joining this window would seem slim....

This is also my worry. As soon as anyone plays well and we win a few games the players will want more or out (Benteke). We will be back to square one.

Also when we beat teams like Arsenal and Man City and you know the wages they earn, I reckon that leaves a player wondering why am I only on 5k. If I want more I have to leave.

I was very impressed with his running of the ball today. Intelligent running.

Don't sell him. He is pivotal to future success.

He did great today even if he was only around 80% match sharp.
