  1. His mistake happened because, as in the Nooocastle game he has slowed down, and not able to get there as quick as he could. He is a diminishing return, and quite frankly he has a mistake in him every game.

    Should be got rid of.

If we got rid of every player who made one mistake in every game, we wouldn't have a squad left.

if the one mistake a game leads to a goal against, then i would get rid of them.

  2. It was men vs boys. When Heskey came on, we got a man in our team. That shows you Heskey's worth. He takes up a lot of space.

i dont need space occupied i need goals,he aint going to score goals.

  3. Both Chelsea goals should not have stood. Wigan should of taken 3 points not 0. They are the team performing the best in the bottom half. Yes it benefits villa but you want to see fair play. I still think Wigan will get out of it.

Martinez doing a good job there would like them to stay up ..providing it's not at our expense

Rubbish!Martinez and Wigan have been in the bottom 3 all year, they finally show some fight the past 4 weeks and youd think Martinez is OUR saviour if he came to the Villa.

  4. I think he's alluding to how quick we can be to criticise players, like Ireland, Nzogbia, Bent and Gabby.

Correct & Baker, the abuse he got off here on Saturday was **** appalling

I refuse to take certain posters seriously

Like those who suggest David Platt or Peter Withe as potential Villa managers?

I actually suggested David Phatt hes the larger version of platty, but nevermind you wont see the funny side in that either, next time ill add a little smiley face to help ease your pain. :D

  5. Relegation?Well maybe not this year, not because we avoided it,but we were lucky to have teams who are worse than us,hard to believe but true.

Next season under the current regime i believe we will start in the bottom three and remain there until we ARE relegated.

Their has to be a change in the way we play games or next season will define this clubs future,we dont want to be the next Leeds or Forest.

  6. I cant understand how the board can let Mcleish drag us down to the championship, just the way he did last season, and sit back and let it happen.I saw the blues play Arsenal last game of the season and their was no will to win and no fight in the players, just like this lot down the villa.Mark my words, this team as relegation written all over it and theirs nothing we can do.

  7. What is all this about Eck going to the Browns to "discuss ideas"...

I'm sure the Browns finished bottom of the league last season, didn't they? Apart from man-motivation, what possible use can meeting a coach who had an atrocious season in an entirely different sport have to our manager?

Hes only meeting with the defensive co-ordinator,no point talking offense while hes there he does not use it.

  8. Not sure you can say it was excellent, an excellent game plan wins a game.

It wasn't bad though. You almost nicked a draw. Opening up against us can lead to big scorelines. McLeish was just hoping to keep it close and get a goal.

Don't get me wrong, I never rated McLeish at all. But when it works for Moyes he's a genius, and when it fails for McLeish he's a terrible manager. That's football.

Defending a goal lead better than defending a nil-nil but neither of them are good game plans. The Villa fans know this to be the case, the amount of times over the last few years that we have defended 1-0 leads for the majority of games only to eventually crumble under the pressure, it doesn't bear thinking about. It simply isn't a good gameplan for any football club to invite pressure on, it's incredibly risky, especially for a club like ours at the moment where our defence are atrocious and costing us from an alarming amount of stupid mistakes.

Aside from that, and granted I know we were playing Man City today, but we were the home team, and the fans are all against Mcleish already. It's hardly the right time to go out and play defensive, especially when you've been throwing out various quotes to the media rubbishing that you're a defensive manager.

Believe it or not, most Villa fans knew the chances of us winning today were slim. Mcleish could have at least made fewer enemies by going out and having a go. Norwich and Swansea go out and have a go for crying out loud, look where it gets them.

Woudnt it be nice to see them come out and try to win!Mcleish acts as if the opposition coming to Villa park as a god given right to pin us back in to our own half.
