  1. He was one of the best midfielders in the Championship first half of last season, of course he's Championship level at least, Emery wouldn't have him anywhere near the first team if he was League One level.

We got as much as we did for Ramsey because he just had a very good season for Norwich and Middlesbrough, contributing goals and assstants, he was also a regular for England at every age group which adds to the value of these younger players

Iroegbunam will be heading into the summer of the back of a difficult season because of injuries and no loan, and not much game time, although it will be noted that Emery has given him game time, we would probably get eight or ten million for him and we would retain a buyback option, also he would go to one of the better teams in the Championship, or at least one expected to challenge for the play-offs

This is all if we even want to sell him, we might not

  2. Considering we've been resting Jimoh and Young recently and have been playing Wilson in an experimental position, and also giving Lander game time - nothing against him looks fine, but Wright probably a safer bet if we were desperate for a win, I'm not sure we're super bothered about reaching the play-offs, although hope they do it as can't be a bad thing. I think we would play Spurs away in last sixteen as well, so even if we did qualify, might well only mean one extra game

  3. I think contenders for manager of the year will be Emery if we win Conference League and qualify for the Champions League, Arteta if he wins Arsenal the title, or Edwards if he keeps Luton up, regardless of Forest deduction that would still be an amazing achievement.Have Iraoloa and O'Neill actually done much better than Dyche, Wolves were supposedly one of the favorites for relegation, I think maybe because people fixated on the likes of Neves, Moutinho and so on leaving, but look at their team, the likes of Aït-Nouri, João Gomes, Pedro Neto, Max Kilman, Hugo Bueno all being linked with big money moves away, and then you've go the likes of Hwang and Cuna who are decent, Tommy Doyle too, O'Neill done a reasonable enough job, but it's not some big overachievement, although I guess you could also give him some credit for the good performances that have lead to the those players attracting the interest of other teamsIraoloa has done well overall, but within in that Bournemouth have had some awful runs, no wins in the first nine, and then they had another spell where they didn't win in seven, and as with Wolves I don't think their squad as might be thought, they've spent £200m in the last two seasons.

  4. Philogene isn't actually knocked off the ball easily, he's surprisingly very combative, he doesn't shirk the physical side of the game, it's why he had a run of games as a rightback for Cardiff last season and did well there, he might not be as physically strong as Rogers but most players aren't.

It's Aaron Ramsey who struggles with the physical side of the game, who as far as I'm aware isn't coming back, unless we trigger the buyback, which I don't think we would do, as would probably be more beneficial to him and us if he were to do well in the Championship next season with Burnley if he can get fit

  5. Chrisene and Bogarde both only turned twenty earlier this year, also they've both missed a year or more through injuries, so haven't had as much development time as some other players their age

Chrisene did well to get a Championship loan in the first place, again considering his injuries, maybe hasn't had as much game time as he would have liked, but some of that might be down to Blackburn's situation so less likely to risk playing a yougnster in defence, similar for Sousa at Plymouh

Not sure why Bogarde isn't out on loan, he's more than good enough, he's a clear standout for our U21s when he plays, but he should be because he's way to good for that level now, so when he does well it's not noteworty, just a case of keeping him match fit, I'm guessing maybe he got caught between two situations, loan interest from the Championship, but also Emery reluctant to let him go just in case he's needed, Bogarde has quoted Emery has telling him he has to wait but his chance will come. He might not be a part of our squad in the short-term, but bigger picture wise I think he's on the right track career wise, and should get a decent loan, or buyback move in the summer

  6. Morgan Rogers, Adam Wharton, Viktor Gyökeres, Nathan Tella, Alex Scott, have all moved up from the Championship recently and done well, already talk of 'bigger' clubs showing an interest in Wharton.

So maybe the success of those recent examples might mean more PL clubs look to the Championship in the summer, the likes of Jaden Philogene, Morgan Whittaker, Jacob Greaves, Ben Sheaf, Jonathan Rowe, Jordan James, Archie Gray, Jack Clarke, Jobe Bellingham, Leif Davis, and probably a bunch of others could all be in contention for a move

A lot of clubs supposedly watching Ronnie Edwards, Harrison Burrows, and Kwame Poku in League One too, who as it happens all play for Peterborough, maybe the other two will go to the Championship first, but good chance Edwards gets a move to the Premier League

I think you have to be careful though, doing well at Championship level doesn't in itself equal being good enough for the Premier League, and with a club like ours we will tend to go for the younger Championship players if at all, so it won't be just about what they're doing now but also what we think they have the potential to do

  7. Philogene will most likely be in the Premier League next season, with us or another team.

He's looked very good every time I've seen him, he's definitely up there and prob has a better all round game than some of the other Championship wingers that get talked about such as Whittaker and Summerville.

He's also looked one of the better attackers in the England U21 set-up in recent games, and they're all Premier League quality.

It's obviously his outrageous skills at times that gets attention, but he's also a really hard working player, and whilst he sometimes loses the ball trying to do too much, he's not like a Madueke type, who will try and do everything himself evey time, he's a good team player

I think it depends what profile of winger we want, if it's someone to come straight into the first team then maybe Nico Williams would make more sense, but if it's someone to come in as rotation player, with potential to become more than that then Philogene or someone of a similar profile would make sense

  8. Only just realized even a draw would unlikey be enough for them, as Plymouth have a better goal difference by four and have scored nine more goals, so if they draw would basically need Hull to beat Plymouth by five goals to survive. In all probability just need Norwich to make sure they get the result they need to guarantee play-offs, to relegate these

  9. I'd be wary of Brighton, they're on a bad run, we have good record against them, and we have been on a good run, but these kind of records are dangerous because they inevitably end at some point. Also for some reason their fans really hate us, I had a look on their forum after our U21s beat them, and they were really bitter about that, a number of comments alluding to how they were looking forward to ending our Champions League hopes towards the end of the season

  10. With three games left to play one of Luton or Burnley somehow sitll have a chance of staying up, looking at the fixtures I think Luton could actually do it, they've been in bad form of late, but makes me think they might be due a good result or two, they've got some winnable games.

Luton: Everton (h), West Ham (a), Fulham (h)

Forest: Sheffield United (a), Chelsea (h), Burnley (a)

    Burnley: Newcastle (h), Spurs (a), Forest (h)
