the music during the 2v1 fight in PM is brilliant IMO a proper piece of williams genius
-
my division has never changed, we didnt boom so haven't bust either, however other ones such as our housing one have let some people go, and its the deadwood that seems to go rather than the last one in so maybe not that bad a thing

me in the luxor last week
on a sunday night a good 40% of people had a yank football shirt on, more or less every team too, it was great to see, although no one mentioned the villa shirt and someone asked in my black country accent was russian
-
empire strikes back is hands down the best film ever made, let alone best SW film, the new 3 are all pretty shit although the book for RotS is good
-
I look at it this way, if Gabby had tried the overhead and it had hit Samba in the arms in the same fashion, and a penalty HADN'T been given, i'd have gone absolutely apeshit.
i agree with this as well, same as the pen in the wolves game today, you can at least see why it was given
ray houghton has just been on TS moaning that dunne wasnt booked, which IMO is utter shite, dermot gallagher said pen was enough punishment

a bad day at the office. we will have more of these this season, just like chelsea did today and man utd did at burnley.
i agree with this, its starting to look like everyone is going to have some bad days away this season, so lots of points dropped, but that means we have to get it right when we play teams around us, 4 points off city spuds plop and le arse for a start
sounds daft but id rather we messed up yesterday learnt something and then beat city next week than battered blackburn only to be as ineffective against city next monday
-
Hang about, I thought Mike Skinner was a Blues fan?
i get that alot, but really dont see it myself
-
even the fairly good cineworld in wolves has gone a bit shit for limited releases, adventureland has about 3 showings, fish tank none or broken embraces and i cant be arsed with brum
surrogates is getting decent reviews so pretty sure that'll be my pic for the weekend, might finally get round to watching little children too
-
went to a european cup winning night, out of the 6 players that were there he was the only one that wasnt surround by muppets with 15 odd things prepped for ebay, really nice bloke
-
im in vegas im gutted it was the one game all season i wanted to go to
standing on me tod booing like **** mad at midday in a bar with probably 3 yanks will seem a bit daft
-
im not sure if its his actual heading technique, more that IMO ronaldo is the best timer of a jump in football, the athleticism comes into it too, he seems to jump higher than anyone else
but messi is alot like owen, pretty good on his head but his height obviously goes against him so the ball has to be spot on
someone made a great point in the match thread, ronaldo's goal against us, the flick, got raved about for ages IIRC was a contender for goal of the season, gabbys goal last night? labelled as cheeky, thats about it, our media really over egged ronaldo, some of the dross that was printed about him being twice as good as messi in the CL build up was a joke, but i guess thats what i get for reading the sun
-
i thought it would be great this year, was kind of hoping that someone from valencia/villareal/sevilla/A madrid would upset the obvious big 2 but from what ive seen so far im not convinced, it could be like the prem, full of interesting mini leagues
-
agree with CEBD
ronaldo does have a different approach to the game, which like the CL final doesnt always work for him
what i would add is that messi doesnt half take some kicks in that league, but he never really moans, messi IMO seems to enjoy his football alot more than ronaldo does

I was sat in the North Stand hospitality area and was interested to notice that the stewards allowed the fans there to stand throughout. Is this normal? I'd not noticed it before.
no its just one of the annoying pisstakes that football grounds like to employ, the away fans can stand all game but the home fans cant
happened during the vienna game, some jobsworth came up to the top of the holte saying sit down or your out, after much effing and jeffing the one bloke sat down, the steward moved on, the bloke stood up and started "stand up if you love villa" twas brilliant
same thing happened at old trafford when we played austria in qualifying, some proper northener straight from the mine tried that and about 6 coppers dragged him out kicking and screaming
-
and another thing, forget the offside goal from a foul that never was -
where the **** did 4 minutes come from?? utd wouldnt have got 4 minutes out of that 2nd half so how did cardiff?
-
the formation was shocking, a decent team would have ripped us apart down the right wing, whenever we had the ball the only pass available seemed to be sideways or backwards and we used milner as our only real outlet for large portions of the game, was a very disappointing performance IMO as the pace was shocking, we constantly took away our own momentum by dwelling on the ball
that said for as dire as shorey was and as isolated as beye was they never really got behind us on the flanks and collins was a monster, 1st time ive seen him properly and i was thoroughly impressed, cuellar was alot better too, delph looked very comfortable on the ball but as mentioned other than some great diagonals there werent many options for him, gabby looks great and milner is fast becoming our best player IMO
all in all 6/10 poor game very little entertainment value IMO
-
nice one yillan, has a score of 55% on RT so could be decent (strangely cloudy with a chance of meatballs has 84%) anyone seen anything of surrogates? the gf loves bruce so that'll be my weekend movie no doubt
i watched persepolis on monday, mainly from loving waltz with bashir, different and very strange but if you get your head around the animation the story is good
-
this will no doubt be followed by owen declaring that he actually spent the last month of his newcastle contract txting and phoning mcleish, even at one point resorting to poking him on facebook only to get no response, admit defeat and begrudingly sign for utd
thats like MON coming out and saying we failed with a last minute bid for ronaldo
-
i thought beye was excellent against plop and kind of expect him to be back in against cardiff, he reminds me alot of Richards, not great positionally but makes up for up with his pace
good player IMO, gives us another option when teams come to VP and park the bus
-
i dont know if this is bindunne, but ive heard it sung just not at VP -
to the tune of i love you baby -
oh carlos cuellar you are the love of my life
oh carlos cuellar id let you shag my wife
oh carlos cuellar we want curley hair too

i think cornerstone is a brilliant song, crying lightening, secret door and propeller are all ok, but the album is no where near the quality of their other 2, certainly wont sell out many cricket grounds based on that album (maybe on purpose? made an album that will lose all the clingers on?)
anyway, im listening to fleet foxes mykonos for about the 15th time this weekend
-
Complete cock imo, But I like Talksport so what do I know!
and me but i cant stand the cricketers on there, ronnie irani is a tool and darren gough is even worse
if i had a £1 for everytime he says "what happens in cricket is this..." problem is darren its not cricket its eduardo diving, bring back wrighty quick!

Best Beatles album?

my room number was 3150, when booking trips etc and telling people, it was a nightmare, five in particular caused the yanks some problems
