  1. so what do we do then? vote with our feet and stay away? sit their and do nothing? or merrily chant happy chants like nothings wrong?

personally i think VP being so utterly flat does nothing to help the team either, its the apathy thats killing us, top to bottom, all round the stands, no one **** cares anymore, as soon as some people do we're being told that they shouldnt

What should you do if you don't like it? Don't pay to go simple

  2. I'd say we aren't committed to buying TC contractually as we are a few days into the window I think it would have happened by now so we clearly have a choice of if to sign him which wasn't clear before

  3. Every window we always say the same thing - creative midfielder please Paul. You'd think this close to Christmas if one of us put a CAM on our lists surely one of us has been good enough to get it!

I will stick my neck out and say that the Villa have not really had a proper out and out creative midfielder since Merson. One of the reasons why mostly the last 15 years we have been rubbish to watch, outside of a few years of decent counter-attacking and good defence under MON.

Nah Milner and young both for that bill but if you mean an attacking midfielder that is all flair yea I'd agree

  4. Yea he's done his number one job well buying well.

For me as long as we stay up I don't care I want to see where it goes now the squad is pretty full compared to when he came here and he doesn't HAVE to spread the cash around it could be exciting or it could continue either way no manager has brought better than him for us for 20 years

  5. Changing managers will not make a difference, we will be in the same situation with a new manager.

What is required is more investment from the owner.

From his track record here Lambert seems like he would spend an increased budget pretty wisely as well.

I agree changing managers will change little and more investment is needed.

The amount is the issue and the elephant in the room.

FFP doesn't allow him to bung loads of money on the table one year it is a three year investment plan which is continuous and when you see our three year loss you couldn't throw it all down in one year anyway.

Realism is what is needed and the more people that realise what our three year loss is and how it is being sorted out coupled with the new rules the more content people will feel.

    It's a slow burn

  6. I thought he was very poor today. However, he needs more than one chance a game to make a difference. Why the hell, when we have one of the best strikers in the air, do we not play with wingers?

Because no one does anymore they play 451/433 and pack the midfield when possession is lost.

  7. Disappointed with today it was typical of what is wrong with the team.

Palace came for a draw and we couldn't break them down as we lack creativity in midfield to create chances ergo no goals.

Pointless to buy cleverley if we don't get an attacking midfielder as well

  8. Agree Everton are very well run. If they didn't need a new stadium they would be ripe for a takeover.

I've said for years they should build a new ground with Liverpool and share the scales of economy
