The more I think about it the more I think we should get either Jol or Klinsman, but in either case install Kev Mac as assistant manager for continuity and experience of the club/players, not to mention promotion for a loyal servant.

They were 'terrific' today absolutely 'terrific'.....................;-)

Absolutely brilliant performance from the boys today, each and every one of them were excellent.

All played with passion, determination, skill and more interestingly, freedom. Shackles were off and everyone looked like a weight had been lifted.

Anyway let's not worry over the new manager or JM going today (who was magnificent) and let's just bask in the start of a new season and a GREAT performance.

10 out of 10 to Allbrighton and Petrov and 9 for the rest, best performance in years for me.

One thing that I dont think has been mentioned is the fact Lerner has let Milner play. Could easily have said, let's protect our 30 million pounds. Maybe we aren't struggling for cash and need to sell our best players??

For me, I think Milner is being a little half arsed. Albeit, he's doing a job and putting challenges in and crosses in. But it seems his body language, to me, seems a bit off.

He's playing Petrov's role, doing nothing silly and just sitting. Hence Petrov popping up in the box to score with a header. He's as committed as ever, probably difficult for him today.
