He is a winner and leader and I think he will get us fit and up the table. Interested to see what he makes of our youth prospects. See Jacob Ramsay getting some solid support. I'd not take things so personally. This is just how forums with "ITK" I literally told the forum we were being sold (from Xia) the week it happened and even shared it privately with a mod, yet took loads of abuse, people are naturally cynical and I get it. Relax and lets see what happens, I have been told similar but don't know how true.

Good take. I've always thought smith would stablise us, but have a ceiling and limitations. The progress he made has been brilliant, on and off the pitch in uniting fans and getting our love and excitement back. If you see what he has achieved in 3 years it's huge, so this worry of SG leaving for Plop in a few years would most likely mean he's got us in and around Europe, where we will be able to attract that next bracket of manager. I don't see the negatives, certainly not the Liverpool fear.

Of course Eastie!! It will be revealed, but not by pretend ITK. I don't believe they've had 'official' talks, let alone saying it's DONE on a forum. He's 100% in a shortlist, that's the thing though, a shortlist needs to be worked through. I'm sure Villa know if Gerrard wants to come as well as other candidates and will now be honing in and finalising. Done by Friday, whoever it is. I don't mind Gerrard and find some of the comments on him bonkers. Wouldn't be my first choice though.

So would I, however we had a different set of targets. ie the top half. I've no doubt smith would of kept us up too, but that wasn't the job.

The same thinking goes to the valuation of goalkeepers too. It's such an integral role yet plenty of people get their backs up about a fee for a top keeper being a bit above a decent outfield player.

yet we don't really know if he's coming or we are interested. Equally I dont see his appointment as nepotism, NSWE are smarter than that and would see past it. IF he's appointed, I think its because the club see him as a good candidate. One thing I do know is we are heavily data driven now and that will be a huge part. in any appointment.
