  1. I'd like to offer my deepest condolonances, Kwan was found this afternoon swinging from an apple tree in his Kent garden.

We don't have any further information but believe there was a note.

    RIP KWAN

  2.

    No Russians pls.

So you don't want anybody Putin loads of money into Villa?

    Sorry

Lerner needs to stop Stalin and sell the club already.

Randy says he's not stalling, as soon as he gets the right offer - off he trotsky

  3. IMO the buck stops with Lerner. MON, Houllier , McLeish and now Lambert have all been stitched up by the board. The problem is Lerner's pockets aren't as deep as they need to be to successfully run a club like Villa. He has clearly lost interest (despite what Faulkner says) and he should sell up.  Using FFP as an excuse is starting to ware thin.

Lerner said he'd sell if he couldn't do anything at villa, I hope he meant it.

    Bugger off you bellend.

  4.

I think that Randy Lerner and Paul Faulkner need to realise that, if we manage to stay up this season, then Paul Lambert will take us down next season, regardless of how much he is given as a transfer budget.

Unfortunately, given their blind loyalty to managers in the past, even if they do realise, I doubt whether anything will be done about it.

    Such as who ?

They hung onto Houllier and Mcleish throughout the season - but they both wen't pretty swiftly after that. I really don't know where this 'Lerner is Loyal to his managers comes from'

True most want Lambert out - But to axe him now would make a bad situation worse....

Long term, if our players are going cost on average £2m - and earn £25k pw - we ain't gonna be in the prem much lonher - whoever the manager is...

sack him now, there is no reason for him being here. New manager can see the players for the few weeks they are here before their summer holidays

  5. Norwich are the losers in this. They have an unhappy player and a fair amount of disruption in the squad - Becchio etc. (not to mention the fans don't seem to have faith in the manager)

I'm not saying I blame them, I actually like the club. But I can see them getting relegated.

  6.

#avfc missing out on both Tom Ince and Lewis Holtby on loan, instead focussing their sole attention and effort to Wes Hoolihan #ridiculous

    So says who?

Edit: Is that your own tweet?

ITK ;) shocking really that we haven't even bothered to bid for either of them. Ince is off to Palace and Holtby to Fulham, would we honestly not be a more favourable club to come to then a relegation threatened club who have lost 16 games this season and Palace??

We won't spend much with the future of the owner in doubt.

    shit is randy dying?

  7.

I'll never forgive Delia for this. I'm currently weeping wanking furiously weeping over my signed copy of Delia Smith's Christmas.

I prefer videos of the fat ladies when I want to bang the burrito

    yep easy

  8. I just saw somebody label a team with him in it as top 8 as if he'd make a difference, so wondered if he's actually meant to be good.

So is erm Dongou meant to be good or does he just play for Barcelona?

Supposed to be one of their top youth prospects, perhaps the best since Messi.

    Sing him up!

    la la la la Donga

Aston Villa are working on an ambitious move to sign highly-rated Barcelona striker Jean Marie Dongou on-loan for the rest of the season.

Dongou, 18, is a graduate of Barca’s impressive youth system where he has scored goals for fun in recent seasons.

The Cameroon Under-20 international has been nicknamed ‘the new Samuel Eto’o’ because of his power and pace – and Villa hope to be able to bring him until the end of the campaign.

Paul Lambert has earned a reputation for developing young talent, and he hopes that will convince Barca to let Dongou move to Villa Park.

  10. I maanaged to wangle a corporate ticket yesterday and was told that Lambert really thinks he's going to be a top, top player... but he's too eager and nervous with it at the moment.

Perhaps a goal or a good performance will turn things for him.
