You're not to be fair, I think most people are saying the same.
To be fair you are right.
I started typing my post up after the first page or two of the thread and I am just starting to catch up with the thread

I must be one of the few people who can see some green shoots of recovery in that performance, 2nd half especially.
Wednesday were unbeaten at home for 20 games before we turned up we were never going to just roll them over and a draw would have been a great (and fair) result.
Positives for me were:
Gollini- looked a safe pair of hands for most of the game.
Elphick and Baker looked solid and comfortable.
Westwood in the second half played very well, won the ball well in the middle and used the ball very well. Was also unlucky not to hit the net with his 2 efforts from outside the box.
McCormack looks a very good signing and will get better when fitter
Bacuna did well second half and moved the ball well.
We will play worse this season and win.

Defensively we have been comfortable enough, but the midfield has been abysmal. Gardner has been awful, Westwood has been average and Bacuna has been poor.
We need to get a grip in the middle otherwise Gestede and McCoy mack aren't gonna get a sniff.

Well my daughter enjoyed herself
Especially the burger before the game, chips at half time and the doughnuts on the way home!
As for the game itself, we are so weak in midfield it is frightening. None of Gardner, Westwood or Tsihbola did anything of note and we're bypassed way too easily.
I thought Elphick and Baker did ok but that was about it.
Ayew tries to do way too much and would be better off keeping it simple, Grealish did ok first half, Hutton and Cissoko were average and Gestede was non existent.

Getting very excited about this game already! I think if we can win, although I know preseason is always taken with a pinch of salt, the players confidence must be lifted knowing we can beat a team that came 2nd last year and have strengthened since then.
@DrUnKeNbUm nice one mate, I hope she enjoys herself! I still remember going when I was a little kid, I was generally just as excited about the football as the blackjacks and fruitsalad sweets we used to eat!
Cheers mate, she is bouncing around the house waiting for us to leave.
You never forget your first game. I can still remember mine clear as day.
Hope she feels the same.
My 3 year old son is in a stinking mood because he isn't coming but I think he is too young for it at the minute

Taking my daughter to her first game today, at 5 years old she seems to understand how much the Villa means to her dad.
Let her choose the seats and she picked the upper Holte.
Something about her childish enthusiasm has me more excited for a Villa game than I have been in years!

Must say I really haven't been impressed with the standard of refereeing so far this tournament.... and the decision to show replays instantly on the big screens in the ground could cause a riot

I would be staggered if any half decent PL club are him. The little bit of ability he has shown isn't enough to excuse lying pissed up in a gutter. Lets forget about the fact he is one of ours, lets imagine he was playing for someone else, how would we view him? A young kid with a couple of half decent performances (because thats all they were) giving it the billy big bollox, making the front page more often that the back, Nile Ranger anyone? I think he needs to grow up before anyone will take a punt on him
All that said, I would like him stay, i think if he grows up and realises that he is a long, long away from having "made it" he could be a very good player, but i honestly wouldn't be to upset if he did leave, not least because if he really thinks that he has now outgrown us on the back of half hour against sha, it suggests to me that he has literally disappeared up his own arse.
Pretty much my opinion on the matter.
I wouldn't be too bothered if he did leave to be honest, he has bags of potential but is yet to show it.
Could easily end up going the way the Moore brothers went if he doesn't focus.

Finished 22.11.63.
It was OK. Started with a lot of promise I just thought it petered out in the last few episodes. Think it could have been a lot better.
Having read the novel it is an amazing story and would recommend it to anyone, but can't see how it would transition to TV well enough to do the story justice.
I will check out the series at some point but can't help but feel I will be let down by it.

I absolutely despise the way he points at the runner expecting someone to pick it up.

Well that was pretty intense. Actually very intense. After the show do you see a show called Talking Dead? Basicly actors and directors etc talking about the episode just aired. Got the impression that the actors don't know the outcome from the final scene. Do the comic books make this obvious?
Yeah. The comics show graphically who is killed us is a really iconic moment in comic history.... I can't believe they finished it on a cliffhanger. This could have been the "red wedding" moment for the walking dead.

I can see a red card for us tonight
-
Good luck tonight lads
-
Unbelievably lucky they are throughout the season
Awful refereeing. He even signalled it was indirect.
-
Sunderland winning.
And the free kick taker scoring from an indirect free kick no less.
-
why do i care about this poxy club so much!!

Wow BBC, Sherwood and Ian Wright on Motd? You're spoiling us.
Ian Wright described a simple chipped pass over the top by Drinkwater for Vardy's goal as "as good a pass as you will ever see"
Must be those specs he wears.

Not watching this but is Veretout playing badly? Ray Houghton on talksport said he couldn't work out what Veretout was supposed to be doing out there so I assume he is having a bad one
He is playing right side of the diamond and letting the game pass him by. It seems like he wants to drift into the middle more but isn't. Not having a bad game but not really getting involved enough

What a effing goal

Looking at that video it looks like a dislocation. Well at least I'm praying that's all it was

Clark will play left CB thankfully. Most of his utter shockers come when he plays right CB for some reason he really struggles with that switch of sides. Other than that I think it will be a 4-3-2-1. First time I have been happy with the lineup this season.!

What's embarrassing about that?
As far as I read it he is simply implying that you reap the rewards from coping with the bad times and to have belief.
Am I reading it completely wrong or dies my sarcasm detector need new batteries?
